Subs or dubs?

I voted for both, and like most of you said I find the dubs better than subs sometimes
and vice versa
though there are times when I just face palm when there's an anime I really like and the dubs are just so awful;
for example the dubs for clannad

Both. The dubs of some shows are great, and I always prefer watching something that I don't have to read at the same time. But over the years, I've finely trained my eyes to read and watch at the same time, so I enjoy subs just as much, and the original voice track is usually amazing. So... both

For hentai, however, its subs, and its not even close. The english voice actors in hentai always sound either bad or cheesey or like they are laughing their lines or something, its never pretty. And the worst ones are when they get real porn stars to do the voice acting, those are usually so bad its painful to listen to.

I'll go with the dub becuase I don't have to read the distracting subs at tje bottom but I'll go for the sub any day if it gets dubbed by say 4kids

It all depends on the quality. If good voices are chosen for a dub it could go either way. There are some dubs I absolutely cannot watch, though, because either the acting is just horrid or some voices make my ears bleed

subs. can't feel the anime spirit if it's in the dubbed version.

of course there are some anime that have exemptions.

Subs of course, because I'm so accustomed to them. Everything that isn't meant for kids is subbed in Finland (if series isn't Finnish) so it should be quite clear that you get accustomed to them.

Both, because I tend to stick with whatever I see first (I watched the original Naruto all in english but before it was dubbed I started watching Shippuden in Japanese, and many other examples) this makes it easier for me since I tend to not watch a series more than once so it all works out. In defense of dubs though the only bad dub I've heard was for the anime Green Green everything else I've heard I liked.

I think it depends.
Some or good dubbed, but most of the time i prefer my anime subbed

The vast majority of dubs have something about them that just seems wrong, especially when voice actors attempt to give a complete translation of what the character is saying. Example: saying "big brother" in English dubs typically sounds wrong (my reason for hating Code Geass in english). Any time I can I get dubs, or even just raws so I can get subs later.

I go with both. Nothing will beat the original voices but if a dub is good than it deserves some respects.

I said both because some dubs are just plain bad, but then some are genius, like Ghost Stories. That dub probably turned a mediocre anime into a great one.

I stick with subs because after a wile of watching dubs you start to notice its the same group of voice actors doing all the anime dubs.

I have to go with both for anime because some dubs are actually good :)
in hentai on the other hand it's sub all the way, i just cant stand how they dub them ... it makes it almost creepy *Shiver*

In all of the new anime series I prefer them in subs because it will be boring watching Naruto Shippuden in English Language. For all hentai series, I prefer them dubs because I just loved watching them in dubbed.

Both. I usually far prefer subs as many dubs tend to be done in such a way that it is either grating to listen to or hard to follow. Some anime just makes more sense in Japanese and it's hard to excuse the flaws the dubs have.

That being said there are some shows and movies that I prefer dubbed. Most of Miyazaki's/Studio Ghibli's productions have fine dubs that are just as good as the originals. As for shows; I prefer the dubs of Cowboy Bebop, Baccano!, Durarara!! to their Japanese counterparts just to name a few.

On top of that there are a lot of dubs that may not be great but are decent enough to watch; Ergo Proxy, Beck, Birdy the Mighty, Soul Eater, etc.

Of course I'd never watch hentai anime dubbed. I made that mistake once with Bible Black and would not care to repeat it.

Is this a trick question? Subs are almost always better.

Subs. I think the original voices fit the characters much better than the English ones. Even if the English VAs are good, their voices often seem unnatural with the characters they're playing. For example, Ed in FMA is supposed to be like 14-15 yet he sounds like a 25-30 year old man in the English dub. That's why I always go with the original.
