So... We, XCX Scans, have been shut down. LustyLadyProject just went down.
Wani is going around left and right and sending legal action stuff on everyone. Core may soon follow.
What's Jacob going to do about it?

Well, we at XCX Scans will no longer be working on H-Manga.
We're still going to be doing doujins, which is fine for us.
Groups that only do H-Manga are done though.

The dark age of fap.

More information is needed.

If you guy's received an email, can you copy-paste it here with the sensitive/personal stuff censored?

Problem is, WaniMagazines isn't just aiming at Translation groups, but also aiming at removing all of their magazine scans, including works by the artist that is working under the company.

Copyright versus author rights, I am far more favorable to author rights.

Morover in the present case, seems those authors are working under copyright, isn't it ? Are the companies really in right to claim any work from those authors or is there some abuse ?

For the little I know, doujinshi are quite off those companies area, because it's free-lance work.

Yes, they have the right. Series that is published in the magazine belongs to them. This including the Tankoubon because they also publish those too.

Well that's shit. Would have thought this may give them more of an audience/ a few more sales

It's a sad day. H-manga was great. Doujinshi keeps disappointing me

Damn, this is not a good situation for H-manga translators.

Is there anything we at fakku can do to try to help them?

Probably still wouldn't stop low-profile translators though. Ones who don't have websites and upload to various places.

Honestly, even if I can read japanese, I would prefer to read them in laptop.

Holding the thick magazine while fapping is a bit hard to do... It's easier to change pages with 1 hand using laptop/PC...

They could perhaps get away with it if they limited their uploading sites to Exhentai.

At the very least more h-manga are getting official translations. I've seen a fairly substantial amount on Amazon for sale

We'll see.

This might be the trigger that causes something similar to what happened to Crunchyroll awhile back. From a 'Youtube for anime' selfuploaded site to one that has licensing deals for Simulcasting.

Don't count my team out just yet, I'm already poking around.

It's a dark day indeed, two of my favorite groups have now been shut down. =(

Inb4 fakku gold for h-manga supporting

Just go lowkey and upload them to ex-hentai, and make a link on here, that somehow opens exhentai in fakku, and you read what is on exhentai here. So, it's not technically on here, so fakku can't get reamed for it, and exhentai continues to not give a shit

what are the legal issues that are in the air? would it be feasible for us to, say, begin a "donation bin" and solve this with money?

If it's copyright, then I don't see what shall be done.

It also means there surely are some websites hosting these contents, as long as they possess the license.

While not quite the same thing, the site I've used for streaming Films which doesn't actually host the content but provide links to a third-party website have still been blocked by my ISP on Copyright grounds, and the site has hopped domains twice since I began using it.

I don't quite know where I'm going with this, just thought I'd mention it.
