Falling in Reverse, Escape The Fate ( yes i know they are technically the same band somewhat) Yashin, Black Veil Brides, Rising Against, Breaking Benjamin, Blood On The Dance Floor, Eyes set to kill but you get my point i know there alot of different bands but i figure'd i name some of my favorites and if you like them just be nice to share common interests or get to know the communinty, Thanks for reading this =]
And if you dont like my music i still want to talk to anyone lol =]

Hmm... looking at your list I think a more appropriate name for this thread would have been Metalcore/Alternative Rock. I can dissmiss the Hard Rock Part because some of those bands do still qualify as Hard Rock, but Screamo? no. I don't think any of those named would necessarily count as Screamo. BTW I'm not dissin' your list just giving an opinion on what this thread should have been called.

Anyone reading THIS please feel free to correct me if I was wrong.

Lol i do not mind just didn't know what to call it as my favorite type of music, i mean they scream but not like these other bands i have heard. I like screaming just like they sing as well

Lol, I find it wierd that people are otaku and love Metal/Rock music XD I mean I kinda picture a Metal song with something mellow like K-On at the backround XD
Maybe you guys are shounen fans. Im one too, but when there are fight scenes I never go "OMG this needs a rock song on top. AMV time!". I prefer the epic sounding Classical music for them Xd

BTW I am an EDM fan, just to let you know. I hate pop music and most off all, frikin' horrible brostep.

If youre interested in what EDM is (basically all types of electronic music, like how rock contains metal etc.), check out:

-Feint (song: Lift Instrumental)
-Deadmau5 (song: Strobe (this song is a masterpiece))
-Ephixa (song: Song of Storms, Give You Back Life etc. (makes PROPER dubstep))

Ill try those other bands thanks everyone =]

There's something about having Devin Townsend and Attack Attack in the same list that sends cold shivers down my spine...

Back on topic May I suggest some Strapping Young Lad? though technically that still counts as Devin Townsend.

hmmm i just listen to a few songs from strapping young lads, i didnt mind it. More into like i have no clue how to describe it, Eye's set to kill i like the screaming with the girl singing it makes a nice kinda harmony to me if i could describe the music i would, but confusing my self atm =/

Well if you want screaming there is I Set My Friends On Fire or iwrestledabearonce, both of whom I hate, but who knows maybe you'll like them.

Hmmm... When I think Metalcore I can only think of one band, Atreyu. though that's probably because I don't really like Metalcore and don't know many metalcore bands, but yeah try Atreyu they might be right up your alley.

If you really love metalcore, I can highly recommend some of the bands mentioned above, as well as Senses Fail, Silverstein, Alesana, D.R.U.G.S and Atreyu! ^^

Nice list, except I wouldn't really recommend Amon Amarth, Devin Townsend, and Nevermore to a newer fan who's looking for metalcore. They're a lot more heavier and aggresive, leaning more towards thrash and death metal. Also, Amon Amarth has growled vocals which a newer fan is probably not accustomed to.

Anyways, in addition to that list, I would also recommend Dead by April, Heaven Shall Burn, The Agonist, Light This City, and Shadows Fall.

Have fun!

I suggest going back further to some of the origins of metal and rock. stuff like iron maiden, black sabbath, led zepplin, testament, slayer, dio, kiss, van hallen, etc.. then again, i'm old so...'you damn whipper snappers and your hippity hoppity metal death noise!'

but seriously, it's a good idea to explore the roots of the music you like.

Metal is alright to some extent, however, screamo I cannot tolerate. It sounds like some guy with a flamethrower up his rectum or a bear with his nuts stuck in a trap.

This x1000000!

once you get a feel for the classic stuff, the newer stuff just sounds bland. Might I suggest some Judas Priest, Megadeth, Overkill, Motorhead, maybe even some Pantera. Most importantly, don't limit your tastes. There is a vast collection of Metal sub genres to go through!

one last suggestion, it's not Metal, but Maybe try some Rush, they are fucking amazing!

Rush? RUSH? Neil Peart, the God of drumming. Master prog rock drummer.

Now, in my lifetime I've listened to all types of music, and I don't necessarily agree that other genres get bland. However everyone is different in this aspect. The truth is a lot of 70's,80's,90's music was very similar and meshed together as well. Not that I'm saying a lot of today's music isn't, but that's just something that can't really be denied. It happens in all genres. The best thing is to have an open mind and listen to all types of music, and sub-genres. All music has merit, after all. (Or almost all)
