Got a nice pre-built gaming laptop so I have no need to upgrad kupo. 3gb gaming card and 12gb ram kupo. Think I'm good for a bit kupo.

Someone built it, I bought it, it didn't last. Next time I'm going to bet a custom one. It should last longer that way with the upgrades that I'm going to put. But first I need money.

I am capable of building a computer in fact my job is to build and repair computers, but I'm lazy.

Planning to build my own computer but still too lazy to do that. So until then, I am and have been using a store-bought computer

Nice to see "built it on my own" is in the lead.
I also built mine its got:

nvidea geforce 570
intel i7 2600k
8 gigs of ram
500 gig ssd and 1 tera hd internal (plus 2 tera external and I am sadly running low on space)

Im actually not a huge modern gamer since I mostly use it for anime, visual novels and low end japanese indie games. That and schoolwork. But I play the occasional steam game and such so tis nice to have the power. Originally I built it in anticipation of skyrim.

its good to build on your own, as long as you have the knowledge how to build pc.. i guess.. and MONEY is the biggest problem of all xD and the availability of the parts

I built mine from the ground up. Shes going on 3 years now with no upgrades with the exception of my GPU; since my original one died on me. It's always good to build a PC for a few reasons: You put what you want in it, and when something goes wrong; around 80% of the time you know whats wrong, so you don't end up having to pay over $100 for a "check-up"

My dad built my desktop for me as a Christmas present a few years back when my old desktop hard drive, a Seagate brand drive, experienced physical damage to the boot sector because Seagate is terrible. Never buy anything with parts from Seagate.

After my last computers heatsink fell off. I acquired parts from all of my friends and put them into a clear case. It's faster than my last computer. I call it Frankenstein.

I helped build it but then it was my friend who was responsible for the parts.

I bought it pre-built a while back, but I've constantly been upgrading the CPU and hard drive for handling massive amount of space for my Hentai! hehehe

Bought mine pre-built and just threw in new graphics card because the one that came with it stopped working

Recently I tried to build another one for fun using older tech, but so far I only got the mobo, cpu and a couple hard drives I've been holding onto from my other pre-built computers.

I built my precious baby, her core and board have died on me once now. gone through alot of upgrades and she now in her 5th reincarnation as a dual gt9800 with 6 gigs of ram.

Additional gear is whats been bogging me down as of late since Im constantly upgrading, contemplated getting more ram but iv yet to encounter any overloaded buffers, snags, or general visual error lag. The mechanical keyboard is next on the list as I just got a mechanical mouse w/3500 dpi & 1000hertz. less input lag ftw

Mine was bought pre-made and i haven't done anything to it at all...

I think i got it at a discount with some, er, small problems, but hey, i can't complain if i'm a poor guy. At least it allows me to come on here and play my Visual Novels.

I selected the option "I bought it pre-built and haven't upgraded it." because of my situation I am "forced" to use only a laptop and is a pre-built and quite difficult to upgrade without risking the laptop itself.

If you were referring exclusively to desktop pcs then those options make sense, if you were not, a "I use a laptop" option would have been nice, but I am just guessing since you did not specified it. :>
