I kind of like this questions that lightly touch the subject of double standards.
If I found out that a guy I like read Fakku I would not be overly ecstatic, but it would pique my interest a tiny bit more because I would see it as a thing in common and you can further the communication and interaction between us due to the common ground. Kind of like sharing regular books, movies, music, and hobbies.

"Yea I did. And I loved it. The main character....the story line...the feels.. What did you think?"

Sorry your ex was disgusted, it's just fiction so don't let him make you feel bad for liking something different. Believe me I read some pretty fucked up shit but it's just because I enjoy reading whatever. Don't like everything I read but I like hentai for the sake of hentai.
It's not weird for a girl to read hentai. I read it 24/7 and help out fakku with hentai stuff and things. There's also quite a few lovely female staff members on here and they're some of the best ppl I know (sorry guys you are good too lol).
So don't feel weird for loving hentai, anyone can love it and doesn't matter how ppl react to it as long as you enjoy what you like. I've had exes that were meh about it, but I love it too much to give it up for anyone. To me if someone were to love me for who I am they'd accept my pervy side.
