What's that carbonated beverage sold in vending machines?

So this is a regional thing. People from all over call it by a different name. My family always called it "soda". What about you all?

I don't know if this is specifically regional to a particular part of the coast, but, folks in california call it "pop". Same with northerners (PA, NY)

Almost everyone dricks Coke (Coca Cola) so that's what i call them.
Also in Sweden we call it "Läsk" - Coke is the closest thing to that.

It's Soda here in the Midwest.

Depends on the situation.
When I'm normally drinking/talking about it, it's soda.
If it explodes, then it's pop.
If served to me on a pillow by a fair maiden, it's a soft-drink.
A carbonated beverage by the name Coca-Cola is a Coke.
By some chance an alien comes down to our planet and offers us a carbonated beverage, we'll most likely call it Other.

Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee all call it soda.
