Rin! I stumbled into Emi's route while still liking Rin the entire time. Made me feel bad about ignoring Emi early on, but then I ended up liking Emi too since I passed her route.
Rin is still my favorite though, I like interesting, deep personalities like that. Aka I like weird girls.
Also, thanks so much to OP for posting this link! The best thing about this is that all of the characters feel so...real. Like they all have flaws, not outward flaws(these dont matter) but like inwardly they have flaws that make them real, and it made me realize how important that aspect of us needs to be.
Anyway, I just finished clearing Emi's route and working on hopefully getting to Rin's :)...have a feeling though I'll feel bad about bagging my "ex g/f's" best friend... (Wow, more weird that I have this attachment to the characters...great job by the game makers!)

Wow, I went back and managed to get the good ending after a bit...realized I would have gotten the good ending with her the first time if I didn't think the credits were the end...what a joke lol. Thanks for the tip though, the good ending was amazing.

Of the three routes that I played (Emi, Shizune & Lilly), Lilly's is by far the best in terms of the level of emotional satisfaction I got while playing. If I had to rate the three routes I played I'd say Lilly>Emi>Shizune.

I acutally liked all of them, but Hanako wins by a pinch.... thsi game is great, only problems are the ending, tehy were really lazy with the endings

I'm planning on playing sometime this week. From what i've gathered i think i'll enjoy Rin, Shizune and Misha most but we'll see.

I like shizune the best because she is so cute when she is angry :)I finished the first part on Fakku! and now am downloading the full game using torrent. Hope to get to play it soon

Well the first act is about getting close enough to one girl (basically picking a path to follow), and if you don't get close to one then you get Kenji instead. I got him on my second run when I was trying to get Lilly (my first run resulted in Emi; I tried to pick the choices that I would have really done)...then I realized that there are a number of choices that can cut off your routes. Some of them are obvious, but others are not so obvious (for example if you told Kenji that Hanako wasn't cute, the Lilly/Hanako route is not available. how weird). My advice is to pick choices that seem to agree with the girl you want to pursue (like pushing hard on the track with Emi), but I'm not going to tell you anymore so you can get the full experience!
By the way, has anyone managed to get the game to full screen mode? There's an option for it, but it doesn't work (faded out and all). I'm on a Macbook pro, so I'm not sure about other ways to full screen the window...

Rin (in my opinion) was the best character. While all the girls had their own problems, Rin's was by far the most complex and realistic. The case question of, "who am I?" marked her differently from the other girls, who seemed to be directly affected by their own disability or from the influence of others.
Hanako is arguably the most popular, though in my opinion her archetype is very trite and dry. The twist that she didn't want to be coddled was something, though still predictable. Rin's had the most unique personality. Her confused clarity. That she knew she was mud underwater, but didn't know how to get out. That she could become anything, but can't decide. That point struck me.
Her storyline seemed to perfectly express her personality, throughout the narration there was a sense of drowning. That everything was murky and muddy and going nowhere. Her character (and route) was for me, honestly the best one. For realism and philosophy. She was not heartwarming because it was cute (like Hanako in my opinion)- it was heartwarming because it gave a sense of understanding. She made you understand something so obvious yet overlooked. That it was okay to be yourself.
