Are you afraid of Death?

1
I'm not afraid of death; I was taught to accept death. I do not want to die in a cruel way, though. I'd rather die in a peaceful, gentle way. However, I'm prepared to accept how I die.

I think... if I get the meaning of your post... the world will get along just fine without the changes someone who uses capital letters like they're going out of style will bring. I mean, I'm all for you making positive changes, but I get the sense they're going to be making your family and friends' days better as opposed to some grand scheme that will turn the world on its head or something.

I'll put it this way, I don't want to die, I love life, but am I legitimately afraid of death? Not really, I probably will be when I confronted with it, but until then nah there is no point worrying about it, being scared of death is a waste of time, instead enjoy life while you can.

Not really its like having a phobia you're fears are irrational if you have them.

Afraid of death? No, but I am afraid of things that could lead to death! Sickness and injuries etc. But death, no.

"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean someone isn't out to get you."

I am curious about death. I know that no one alive knows the answers to my questions, but I've always wondered what it was like to die. Don't think of me as like a serial killer but I've always wanted to know what someone experiences after death. There are theories related to religion and then there are people who think it's just blackness for all of eternity. Any opinions?

Yes I suppose I am even though I have yearned for it before in my past yet what im mostly afraid of is being alone and being dead why all the new titles come out.

I think if you were a serial killer you'd be more focused on what it feels like to take a life than how it feels to have yours taken away and experience what's after death.

Good point, but I just didn't want people to think I'm a psycho.

I probably am not the only one here, but I kind of welcome the prospect of death.
As a kid, I used to panic around and break into tears at the slightest thought of dying, having associated it with immense pain. Looking back, I feel like the biggest idiot in the planet haha. I guess it's because of the standard fear of the unknown as a kid, coupled with the fact that I wasn't that much of a curious person. Nowadays, the mere presence of knowledge I don't own and that intrigues me, strikes me a resolve.
I guess at the end of the day it's pretty contradicting; both the sense of survival and curiosity are imbued into us as human beings, but my curiosity is what might get me into the blatant unknown that is death.

I associate my fear of death with a fear of leaving things undone. Until I'm content with what I've done in the world, I will continue to fear what will force me to stop. I will not however let this fear take me when the time comes.

Well, first, here's my opinion on this matter...

I believe that if you die, that's all there is. There isn't an afterlife to look forward to, nor is there any chance you'll have any form of after-death consciousness, at least, with sentient thoughts. Your body is simply buried, burned, or used for the sake of science.

Being a skeptical agnostic, I refuse to believe in something when I don't have knowledge of any proper scientific proof which maintains that it exists, but I also refuse to disbelieve something based solely on lack of said evidence, and so I am caught in the middle - always waiting for something to be proven true or false.

As such, I'm probably instinctively fearful of death, as most humans are, by basic instinct, however my mental fear of death is uncertain - I'm not sure of anything yet, and one of the reasons for my uncertainty is probably related to my lack of any large ambitions for my life.

I think I've said all I can on the matter, at this moment.

We will probably never know what happens after we die. In my opinion, our minds just 'fade' when we die, nothing happens, we just die and our consciousness cease to exist. No, I am not afraid of death.

I'm afraid of death to an extent. However, I'm more fearful of how my death will effect the ones around me.

I believe the main reason why people fear death is not death itself but what they don't know afterwards post-mortem. As such we have developed quite the plethora of religions in order to explain death and add reassurance to the communities as well as give them hope. That is reassurance for the soul but what about the close community one shares with his friends and families? I'm sure everyone to some extent is afraid of disappearing one day out of the blue and having no one remember him. After all when someone is truly dead, he is gone without even a trace of his existence. To me, that frightens me the most out of anything, living a life without a purpose only to be forgotten. Or perhaps that's just the egotist speaking from inside of me.

Death is part of human life cycle... So it will be happen to us. Afraid? No because death is not the end. There's more behind the death door, worried ? Yes, because of my sins that i have to take a responsible in front of God. (Including reading hentai in this site)

Its irrelevant to be scared of death since its inevitable. The only thing we can do is live and wait for it. So I guess my answer is no since it will come eventually.. And there's nothing we can do to stop it. Except it is possible to postpone it I guess.

Well I don't want tho if it happens it happens.
