what do you all think about them? perscription drugs and the prices for them, illegal drugs and theyre unruly presence in most countries, any and all.

im a devout supporter of marijuana and the legalization of it. everyone and there mothers heard this excuse, but its a fact that its a lot less harmful then alcohol and in tandem it makes for much calmer users. i respect the law and all those against weed... but i really dont see the point in hiding its credibility under a blanket of classification. i have tried some other drugs in my life time, including acid, mushrooms and ecstacy... and the only thing that was truly unforgettable was mushrooms. lol with that im probably the worst known drug abuser in the history of fakku... but no reason in being dishonest. oh and for the record, none of those should be legalized what so ever. save for mushrooms.

I think ......... that drugs suck.... but i also seen people who are using drugs ... (marijuana) to survive. So it´s like double-bladed sword.

I've done acid, mushrooms, and extasy as well. I think The Jesus is the most experience drug user on the site; or at least has the most diverse portfolio of experiences.

Marijuana really shouldn't be illegal. It's like nukes in Israel, everyone knows exactly what's going on but the government has to take a stance that won't piss everyone off; making marijuana illegal in one case and pretending they don't exist in the other.

I really do think marijuana should be legal but the government has no real incentive to do it. The money they waste on "containing" it (creating demand is what most reasonable people call it) isn't really theirs and they'd just spunk it up the wall in Iraq or something anyway. The idea that the government could profitable sell it is disproven by the very failure of their ability to stop it's proliferation. Any idiot with access to soil, water, and sunlight can grow weed. Even meth requires at least one person who knows what they're doing to make. The instant weed is legal everyone will have a bush in their yard and be making their own. There'd be private shops to sell primo shit but it would not be a lucrative government enterprise like tobacco is.

EDIT: Post 666 is about drugs. Lol at vague irony.

Eh, I don't really mind the soft drugs, because someone has lead me to believe that they're alright (like LSD, which you can build an immunity to in three days). As long as the "gateway drug" effect isn't true, then I'd be alright with things like marijuana. Though marijuana should definitely have tougher laws surrounding it with regards to smoking it indoors.

Still, I think it's better to adapt the model they have in the Netherlands, where it's better to try and solve a problem instead of making it illegal, which would only fuel a black market, like what happened in the US.

while i think things like coke and acid and such should stay illigal i think we should take the stance of some european countries and simply sell weed in controlled areas. might cut out the crime a bit

People would initially start out with a plant in their yard. Though we just follow California's idea of only allowing people with permits to grow it. Then we could make it a regulated industry. Dealers would stop selling pot because growers could make it dirt cheap to get an ounce. Ever seen the price of a pack of cigarettes without the taxes added on? Its about the price of a 20-24oz soda at a gas station. Since dealers couldn't grow and sell it cheaper than a large company. They would quickly drop it and concentrate of selling the harder drugs like coke and meth. We would save billions on prison costs. Since we would stop sending the docile potheads to jail thus taking up resources and time. The could even make it like booze and cigarettes so you have to be a certain age in order to buy the stuff.

Weed would become cheaper to produce

The Govt could tax and regulate the industry thus make money from it.

We'd save millions or billions in spending on prisons since we wouldn't have to house all the potheads

Thats just a couple reasons. I'm not even going to get started on rights to do whatever you want to with your own body (or put whatever you want in there as well)

Thats where the idea breaks down and we fall back into the current system of quite a few people doing it illegally and society just not caring. Even with government competition it would be a totally profitable industry. Illegal tobacco is an incredibly lucrative industry and the government has a supposed stranglehold on it.

I admit that the thought of weed growing permits hadn't crossed my mind and would allow for a somewhat profitable control on weed growing but the problem with weed is that if you have a town of 50,000 people and 15 guys decide to start a grow op then there is enough supply to fill demand and then some. Not to mention that you can do it without people even noticing. My dad had a 7 foot tall weed plant in his yard and I didn't even notice it for about 6 months since it was mixed in with two other regular bushes. Even if government weed is $2 a gram free is still cheaper.

I don't use drugs (marijuana, soft drugs or heavy drugs)not anymore...
Not that I'm trying to be a goody-two-shoes or something...
I just don't like it and I don't find any benefit from it...

I used to smoke marijuana when I'm still a high schooler...
But I found out that I'm way better off without it...

If you guys use it then its up to you...
Although, like me, you probably better off without it...

I'm not saying let the government grow it I'm say let companies grow it. Eventually, it'll just be cheaper for people to buy it from legit stores rather than the neighbors cousins brother. One man and a few plants can't make it cheaper than a company that could hydrologically grow hundreds of better plants in the same amount of time. On top of that idea you make punishments harsher for people who grow it without a permit. Find out how much an average dealer could make from his stock each day and fine him double the amount he would make, then throw his ass in the slammer for a stretch of time. Lets say he could make 1k a day lets also say he's been growing for 100days when you catch him then fine him 200K. Then again all of this would also mean we would have to change how we as Americans would fundamentally think. Competition and punishment will eventually drive out all but, the more determined. Plus, if dealers get too big they always get caught when it comes to tax time.

Call me lame or whatever, but I'm very closed-minded on the whole drug situation. I don't like the idea of using drugs, and however idiotic it may seem, I refuse to associate with people who I know have used them. (Only in real life, of course; the internet is a lot more free) All I know is I don't use them, I never will use them, and I never will let anyone around me use them.

Again, your idea functions on the basis that authorities are capable of finding and convicting all drug dealers and suppliers. Marijuana is profitable because it's so damn easy to grow. Even if a company floods the market their penetration might not reach certain areas and allow for local dealers to continue. Or, once weed is legal people could just grow it themselves. Considering that a small plant pot from Home Depot can support a plant large enough for a continuing personal supply it's rather easy to evade the authorities. Especially when smoking it in public would no longer be a concern.

I have tried marijuana, robotussin/triple c's (DXM), pain killers, and I'm still an active user.

I often had conversations with the green society members, and it really came to my thought. I do not regret the drug use i had, but I agree on the idea of legalizing marijuana only.

-The united states spends billions of dollars a day to stop the use of marijuana, which is really one of the problems thats causing the american economy to slowly fall.

-Marijuana has never killed from itself.

-Marijuana has been known to be less damaging than alchohol and cigarettes.

-It's true that it's a gateway to other drugs, but thats because the fact that it's illegal, people have thought , "wow, this isnt really hurting me at all, the goverment must lie about the other drugs as well."

-Mary Janes never complains when I hit her...

Don't do Triple C's. Regular Robitussin is as close to pure DXM you can find without extracting it yourself. I'm not getting into the politics of this subject because its double edged sword. I'll just say, again, that I've done basically everything and anything you can imagine. I have a good idea of what's good and what isn't. Just stick to nature.

I understand what your saying, triple c's has more dangerous substances than dxm. But I knew that after I tried it once.

Wait, what? This doesn't even make sense. It is physically impossible to overdose on marijuana and unless you're getting it in Japan (or most island nations without convenient space for grow ops) it's cheap as hell.
