Baby deserves to be killed. Seriously, that baby will never have a "normal" life.

His/her fate was sealed months before he was born.

I think it's better off dead. I mean, it's blind, weak, and probably won't live 'till it's 20 anyway. Kill it and spare it from a cruel, short live.

The fun fact is that the baby is probably slated to live as long as it can by the parents, since this disease is usually detectable in ultrasound. *sigh*

Also known as Natural Selection. Weak die, strong live. If the parents make it live a cruel life of being stuck on a machine then just let it die a natural death.

Living is the cruelest thing in this world. You don't suffer when your dead, you only suffer when your alive. Think about it, the child will pass away not knowing its horrible future if kept alive. Do you really want to force him to live through his life not being able to see, always being sick and in the end knowing you will not even live to be 20? If you do, then you are TRULY cruel.

BTW: Unlike mental illness's and etc this is a physical thing. Mental illness can still give you a full, fulfilling, amazing life without a doubt. When your physically bound like that baby, its another story.

You seriously need to read more of my posts. I'm hardly the sympathetic type as you think I am. My comment was directed towards those idiots that think it needs to live just because it was born. The people who want it to live have a flaws logic and are truly cruel people.

true,killing the baby and sending him straight to the heaven might set him free from all the possible suffering.this is the most easy and feasible option the parents could choose.

but if i am the parents,i'll try to think of a way to keep the baby have the chance of living a normal life,however slim the chances are.
what parents will just let the child die without looking at every possible options to make their child live a normal life?

although potentially cruel,the parents could "gamble" by letting the baby live.
it seems unfeasible,but by making the baby undergo plastic surgery could at least make the baby better,appearance-wise.

but as for the mental illness possibilities,there's nothing anybody could do about that.

true,the kid might not ever lead a normal life,but at least by letting the baby live the parents could get the chance to try to give some happiness and parental to the baby(although hard).

i won't say that the parents should let the baby live or kill the baby.
it's their call and i have no rights whatsoever to meddle in their family tragedy.

but personally if i came across those kind of situation,i'll just stand back,do nothing but (as weak as it sounds and although i hate it)pray to god and let the doctor(they should know better about the baby's chance) do his job.

should the doctor advise me to kill,let it be.
but should the doctor advise me to let the baby live,i'll let the baby live and fight it the hard way as a parent.

That is a moral dilemma, (and a damned hard one to solve I might add) however I long ago came to the conclusion that a life lived in the kind of agony that would bring upon an individual is no life at all, better dead than that.

I agree but, you know those silly Christians "god made them like that for a reason and this is their trial". They think its a better idea to let someone lose their arms and legs then be struck blind deaf and dumb before considering a mercy killing.

Not all Christians, but a majority probably. Personally I'd put it out of it's misery rather than let it live like that. And if it really could have been aborted...I'd have to say that those parents are either very stupid, or had huge pressure on them to let it live.

If I had to be in constant pain in order to live, I'd rather be dead. I imagine most people would. How can you enjoy life if you're always hurting?

Kill the thing. It's bad luck, but that's life. A lot of people get fucked for no reason at all.

I think it depends on your tolerance for pain.

I used to live through moderate pain constantly, I eventually fixed it and it now is only semi-present. It makes you a damn happy person everyday you don't experience it. But everyday you get it back, well then you feel just like every other person, it's amazing...

i believe the question is supposed to be about what you would do if a 'monster child' was yours
would u want your child to live a life of pain
both emotional and physical?
in this world where a judgment of a person is made in only 3 secs.?
especially if your 'monster child' was a girl,
what female would want to live looking like a beast?

Possibly some stand up comics?
Or select vapid models?
Maybe a customer service representative?

I know there are a lot of people you'd wish it on though in specifics I personally wouldn't have many come to mind but that would retroactively change their lifestyle a little bit, and ours for the better.
