Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

Got my first Legendary from a pack. It was Grull, 8 Mana, 7/7, effect gain 1/1 each turn. Kinda "useless", since it can be easily destroyed, and it even got "Mind Controlled" by a Priest one time.

BTw, I play Free, so I'm grinding for coins and waiting on daily quests.

Well, you either force kill cards from your opponent by playing Gruul, you end up taking really good trades (2-3 cards for Gruul) or you just straight up win. It's not a bad card, but it can backfire hard on priest due to mindcontrol. Priests are also more common to play faceless than other classes. Mindcontrol -> faceless & argus. Get fucked.

I just ranked up to lvl 18 to get kicked back down to 19 instantly... >_>
I was already on a streak, but then the next 2 match was full of bad draws...

[color=#9400d3]Seeing how it's open beta now. For the new players, you should watch TotlalBiscuit's Lord of the Arena video's. They can give you some nice tips and a good know of what cards are good and what cards are not. And you get to know what to do in Arena if you want to play it. That and it's fun to watch.

I started during the last few weeks of closed beta. Arena Mode reminds me of something a favorite streamer of mine said: Getting past 4 wins is the hardest - after that, for whatever reason you'll be able to do it consistently.

You need higher tier cards to play past 18. Unless, ofc, you have a good deck layout and you get lucky draws.

Well Back on fuckin 18.. lol still with a winning streak and with 2 stars into 18.

Got 4 Arena wins with a Hunter Deck, not so lucky with the pack I got from it.. >_>

Oh, God. I can barely get myself to 1 win in Arena. I'v tried at least 4 times already.

Highest character run was probably a hunter too. He's the easiest to play with.

Well, Those Secret Cards really is the Hunter's Forte. I got one win from Suicide. Dude got his Gurubashi to 11, My Health was only 1, but I got the Misdirection Secret Card. I was lucky about that though because he also had another minion summoned, but he got rash, attacked with the Gurubashi, and luckily the Misdirection targeted his hero.

[color=#ff69b4]Best run i'v have ever got in Arena was 5-3 as Rogue. That was the last time i have ever got a Rogue in Arena. That makes a little sad seeing how i'm best with the Rogue.

Ah, this thread kinda makes me want to play Hearthstone again. I haven't played since the reset. Playing through all the stupid tutorial shit kinda made me not want to play anymore.

Its impossible to lose in tutorial, so it will be a breeze if you still haven't finished it yet.

I have just started playing this game and did two runs in the arena when the chance came up. Both times I played as the mage and got totally different decks each time.

In the first deck I've had a bunch of board control cards like fireball, flamestrike, blizzard, and a pyroblast. Also had a bunch of pretty good common cards. Even having these cards I got really fucked up by the first two opponents who had legendaries in their decks that allowed them to pull through. The first guy had the fire dude who had 8/8 and did 8 damage at the end of the turn to a random character. When I took care of that, he summoned a hogger when my field was practically empty with no cards in hand. That was the perfect card to stop me from winning. In the second match I took the guy down to low hp pretty quickly, but he soon summoned the legendary that gave him 15 hp and let him summon 6/6 minions. I didn't have the cards to deal with 6/6 so quickly lost to him. After those two losses in a row, I won three games and lost. So my end result was 3 wins 3 losses.

In the second deck however, I didn't get any board control. The game kept trying to give me ice barrier. I'm pretty sure I've seen it at least 7 times. In this deck however I got the mage legendary which helped me win two games. In that run I've lost against a druid who had three swipes, a paladin who had amazing board control and rushed me down fast, and the third guy I don't remember. Even though this deck seemed to me worse than my previous one, I got 8 wins and 3 losses. So that got me pretty hyped.

I'm enjoying this game right now, but it seems that arena runs can really fuck you if you're unlucky. Wish you all the luck of the draw.

Tried Arena again, only got 2 Wins from a Rogue Deck.

Good thing I got Redemption, a common gold card and 45 dust.

It wasnt the tutorial as much as it was having to beat all the computer controlled decks again... easy but incredibly boring, and you have to do that to unlock arena mode, which is my favorite part of the game. Finally did it though!

I heard they increased the amount of wins you could get in arena before you won... I think it used to be 9? What is it now?

And i just hope that when they make more decks i hope you don't have to unlock them.

This is why I'm so hesitant to play arena.

Ran Arena a few times! Have a bunch of gold that got restored to me from when they reset the game. Best run was 5-3 as a paladin.

my best run was a 7/3 warlock, had lord juraxxus to carry me and Trump's tier list to help me pick my cards. I just hope one day i can go 12/0...one day
