Nintendo 3DS - Share Your Friend Codes!

This news makes me consider picking it up now, but I am still hesitant to do so.

The 3DS doesn't have any good games except OoT yet, so being hesitant is normal. In a year you won't think that way.

I heard executives and the Pres are taking big pay cuts for this.
At least this well help them bring up sales during the holiday season here in the states.(and a whole bunch of games)
This would probably also help it get some much needed 3rd party support since more people will have one. Personally with the new price tag, I'll be getting mine during/after the holiday season.


I really do hope portable gaming isn't destroyed by smartphones.

I know Nintendo has been trying really hard, but their third party support has always been terrible. Things haven't changed. They released the 3DS without even a Mario game precisely because they wanted third party developers to not fear of Nintendo titles taking all the spotlight. Look how well that worked out them. If you buy a 3DS or a Wii U, you're getting it to play Nintendo titles. If you want to play titles for third party developers, you should just get the Vita and a PS3.



Too late. The iPhone alone beats the PSP and the DS plus together in units sold, number of games available and revenue of titles sold. That's not even including the iPod touch.

I do admit using my iPhone to play games more than my DS. That doesn't mean I'm not getting a 3DS though.

Nah I'm just joking but, I was going to wait until it dropped to that price in about 2 years or so because I'm not spending over $200 on ANY system never have and never will. This Price Drop should bring in more consumers. But we will see.

Play with one a gamestop today... that one crappy screen, *turns off 3d* Ahh it better. Not worth the 229$ price tag when i have a 3d tv setup for my ps3/xbox/psp corded.

I bought Kirby's Dreamland and Links Awakening. Such great games. So in the end ill have 19 free ones, but its still fair lol.

I don't know what you're talking about. The 3D is really good - much better than any 3DTVs I've ever seen. I'm not alone either - I have yet read a single serious review that says the 3D is bad by any means. =/
