Ugh, Hoenn babbies. I liked 3rd Gen but it wasn't the best and got a lot wrong compared to the newer games.

Can't even avoid them on Fakku. They're almost as obnoxious as Genwunners.

Are there people who really think Hoenn was the best? There were literally ~10 fire types including Torchic and evos and over 30 water types iirc. I mean, I liked the introduction of abilities, but dang.

Here's to hoping that we have retooled weather rules in this game.

Anyone think we will see mega evolutions for Septile and Swampert? I would like that and then mega Blazakin wouldn't be a special case for the starters of the Hoenn region.

The new Megas still retain their original typing except Sceptile, who becomes Grass/Dragon when it Mega Evolves.

Also it has LightningRod as it's abilty. Assuming this is true...whose idea was that to give a Grass type an ability that makes it immune to Electric attacks?

Works well in multi-battles, though, or switching your Pokémon to protect it from a likely Electric attack. Not to mention, the other Pokémon having it are mostly Electric or Ground types, with Goldeen/Seaking the only exception with their hidden ability.

It's an okay ability depending on the stat distribution.

People keep saying ice will wreck it but pokemon has never been so simplistic that a pokemon with a 4x weakness to something will be useless or bad.

Here's a list of some OU pokemon with a 4x weakness:
>Bisharp
>Breloom
>Mega Charzard Y
>Dragonite
>Ferrothorn
>Garchomp
>Gliscor
>Gyarados Vanilla
>Heatran
>Landorus
>Landorus-T
>Mega Pinsir
>Quagsire
>Scizor
>talonflame
>Tyranitar

I'm very stoked about M.Swampert. I really needed a Mega slot for the team that I had in Y, and there really wasn't a slot for it until now. I'm just hoping that the ability for it isn't too bad.

I'm also really hoping that the move tutors in this game also let Swampert learn Stealth Rocks, since I ran a S.Rock/Quake/Waterfall/Roar Swampert. S.Rocks was only a B2/W2 tutor move only, and you couldn't breed S.Rocks on to a Mudkip in X/Y.

Isn't it too early for game freak to release this?

Anyways, I just got my copy of Pokemon Y last May so I'll also pass on buying these.

They're identical in every aspect.

Not a big fan of mega sableye, but how much do you think i can sell that ruby for?
Also what other Pokemon do you think could mega evolve in the new games. I hope for Milotic, Flygon, Sharpedo, and Tropius.

Dunsparce

Actually though, Zangoose/Serviper, and Skarmory would be cool as well.

I've been a big fan of the series since Red and Blue (I still have the cartridges). I'll be definitely be getting one of these when it comes out. :)

Ah, but the most important question is, which one are you going to get?

That's a good question. When I originally bought the GBA one, I wanted Sapphire, but the store was out that version at the time. So I ended up with Ruby.

But now, knowing how the legendaries moves work, I'll probably end up with the Ruby version again. (No charge Solarbeam and Eruption? Damn right.)

Ah, now here is my dilemma: I went with emerald back in the day, so im going with sapphire, because I like kyogre more. Also with Groudon being Ground/Fire in his new form, Kyogres going to wreck his face.

Yeah that's true. Speaking of Kyogre, if he does have a new form, it's probably either Water/Ice or Water/Dark (think of trenches in the ocean).
