What VN are you playing? What do you think about it?

So I got through Sakura's route,
Spoiler:
the most conflicted arousement when Sakura was doping on CGH and the ending was silly
and I am starting up Kei's. High-ground is broken and probably the best way to beat Kou+Rain with no plug-ins on the first run of the game or any boss. Also what is this bullshit with Force-crashes overwriting your normal attacks, it literally forces you to gimp your combos (if you can call them that) so that you can save your Force-crashes for later. So far my impression is that it's still a Baldr Sky game, everything about this game screams Baldr Sky but it's been heavily downgraded in many areas. Maybe my expectations are set too high since this is related Baldr Sky series, but I still feel like components of the game are substandard.

Currently playing Phantom of Inferno, using Machine Assisted Method. First time ever for me trying that. All these gun jargon kanji is making my eye went disco.

Today I learned that the scenes in the Venus Blood series (or at least, some of it) such as:

1) Braingasm, though I already thought it possible from the beginning, and reality sounds even more farfetched: The person with the ability can literally force their partner to cum simultaneously with all that brain wave sync stuff.
2) Child-Birthgasm,

Is actually real. Wow. Maybe tentacle monster DO exist!

Started ShinKiss so far dont like the art but will see. Also just finished Sachi route on Grisaja no kajitsu simply awesome. The rest of Grisaja series is going to be translated cant wait for it.

Well if you mean ASMR then it's far from an orgasm. I do not want to think about the science behind child-birthgasming.

Abusing science to fabricate pleasure devices is immoral, we should focus more on android maids.

So I got Baldr Sky X working and I think it loaded my save file from the previous Baldr Skies to unlock everything. So I spent an hour constructing combos. Plus game-pad support! Never knew that was there.
Spoiler:
Also Kou spends much more time pissing off heroines and acts more docile because he has not experienced Gray Christmas.

Just finally started playing Fate/Stay the other day. I'm not too far into it but it has the potential to be the best VN I've ever played. Plus I haven't died yet. So much excite.

Spoiler:
I'll probably die a most horrible death now that I've said that.

You have evaluated that 9 to the wrong place it should be 1.130209/.275349. Check your convergence meter.

Well I'm just going to throw this out there, but Chaos;Head and Robotic;Notes are in the same universe as Steins;Gate (Chaos;Head coming out before Steins;Gate and Robotic;Notes afterwards) Nitro+ is calling the series "Science Adventure" and each game drops hints about some sort of climax to tie them together. Feel free to play them but I didn't really like Chaos;Head and never tried Robotic;Notes.

The anime is probably one of few anime adaptations that does glory to a VN and the movie sequel was a glorious success, I highly recommend it.

I don't remember a lot about the plot but I've already watched the Chaos;Head anime a long time ago and robotic;note doesn't appeal to me that much. As for the steins;gate movie I just looked it up on wiki since I don't watch that much anime at the moment.

There are enough death flags in the game that they are listed as collectibles in FSN. Just keep that in mind.

I'll probably check out all the deaths once I beat the game. Also Ilya terrifies me.

Hoshizora no Memoria, a cute little VN I stated playing randomly. Nothing great by any means, but I'm enjoying it. I was craving something sweet, and it definitely fits that description. That being said, it uses a lot of common tropes, and is a bit cliché over all. A solid 6.5/10 I'd say, decent writing and characters, but rather predictable, and nothing I haven't seen before.

I'm only halfway through chapter 3 but Umineko is one fine piece of work. It's also the 4th VN I've played in a row in which
Spoiler:
"Shrödinger's cat" and "muli-layered worlds" is mentioned at least once

Muv luv alternative, Zero Escape, Steins;Gate being the previous ones. lol

Oh, need to mention the BGMs in this game, all good.

Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. I liked the original Corpse Party because it was a bold tragedy with an amazing thematic presence but apparently Book of Shadows wanted to do away with all of that by shoveling piles of worthless scenes providing plenty of exposure for meaningless side characters. Oh and there was a TON of guro thrown in for no apparent reason besides being able to glare at a dismembered preschooler's panties. And the final chapter that ACTUALLY continues from the previous game was a huge tease that felt like it belonged in a different game entirely that requires all endings (over 20 of them) throughout seven chapters to unlock. It was really bad.

Oh and I'm playing Super Dangan Ronpa 2, Bakuane, Mirai Senki Slavenil and still working on Baldr Sky Zero...I need to stop browsing VNDB, my list of VNs to play is so long that it would take several weeks to put even a dent in it.

Don't stop, WideEye. For me and many other veterans, we've passed the point where we could say 'screw it life' and blast through the VNs with mad passion. I have to say regretfully that almost no VNs - though to be honest, there's been a serious lack of good quality VNs lately - that could attract my attention anymore. I'm just not motivated to even try them out...

Ditto, Usually I just randomly try 2-3 Vns per month, but this recent couple of months was just so dry...Even the cheap nukiges are seriously lacking in quality.

I'm actually burning midnight oil right now to tank my way through Fran's route. It's less mad passion and more stubbornness.

OKAY if there is something that ruins my opinion of Baldr Sky Zero forever, it's the fact that it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to beat Kou in Fran's route. At about 10% health he stops taking damage, invulnerability from the get go would have spared me 3 hours of trying to make a combo out of the incoherent tech tree and doing practice runs to beat him but nooooo apparently Kou has Avalon from F/SN and is now invincible whenever it suits him. And who shoved a rod up his ass? Mercenary Kou is colder towards other people, but not a straight up asshole.. I want to believe in Baldr Sky Zero: 2, I really do.

On another note I found Baldr Sky X satisfying, the mercenary Kou story was particularly good (the others were okay) and there was quite a few extras with to keep myself briefly entertained. Though the coin system was a dirty gimmick to prolong gameplay and the main story was pretty poor.

Try looking backwards for older VNs that have passed under the popularity radar.
