Haha, I didn't think about that. Let's assume you do and ignore this plot hole.

I'm so lazy! I've done the proofreading, but I can't motivate myself to update and edit my submissions. All I can say is this: I promise updates will be here as soon as I get off my ass.

You choose to go north and motion your companion to follow you. As you trudge through the muck for several hours, you find nothing. All you feel is exhaustion with each step you take. You begin to look around you, wondering whether you've been going in circles or not. Everything looks the same from where you started and you begin to question yourself. You look at your companion, traveling closely behind you. She shows no signs of exhaustion and she continually scans the surroundings. You stop and ask her whether or not she has an idea. "Well, going north didn't help," you start, "do you have any suggestions?"

Not able to speak like you, she simply shrugs her shoulders. A look of shock appears on her face and she aims her gun at you. She fires a few shots that fly pass you, connecting with a strange fleshy tentacle-like growth behind you.

"What the hell?!" you say as you see the fleshy growth spasm. It is bleeding a putrid dark red and brown substance from its bullet wounds. The fleshy protrusion quickly disappears into the water and you back away. Mere moments later, about a dozen more foot wide growths appear where the last one receded. They are all about seven or eight feet in length and they move in a way that would suggest they have eyes before they lock on to you and your companion. You decide to:

A. Attempt to run
B. Stay and fight
C. Other

Are we always gonna run from these kinds of monsters?
But hey, death's not fair.
A. Run

Sorry, guys, busy this weekend again. I do have something to ask before the next time I update. I have a bunch of ideas for future chapters but I also want to update my submissions. I know I can always right down my future ideas, but do you think I should right them now while I still have the spark to write or after I update my submissions?

I mean you can always jot down your ideas somewhere. Always best to write when the idea is freshest and most vivid in your mind. Whether or not you post it is up to you.

Updates! I plan to update one of my submissions today! I fell asleep last night and when I woke up, I was just full of energy! I feel like Mako from Kill la Kill after she woke up from Kinigase's needle attack on episode five! So yeah, let's continue!

"Run!" you scream. You trudge through the swamp as best as you can, looking back once to see the tentacles lashing towards you. It can move at a much faster speed and you feel something grab your leg from underneath the water. It feels like another tentacle, but that's the least of your concerns as the actual tentacles above the water grab you. You manage to pull out your knife and cut a few before more latch on. You continue to cut, wondering why a seemingly endless amount continue to emerge from the water. You quickly realize that as tentacles rise from the water, they have cuts that are slowly healing. You piece together that they are regenerating at a rate faster than you can cut. As you begin to tire, you are unable to cut the tentacles any longer. Now with a full hold, you feel yourself lift out of the water. You cringe as you see the creature the tentacles are attached to. It is a large crocodile like lizard whose length you cannot determine. You question how the tentacles fit in it's mouth as it drags you to it. "H-help!" you scream. You see your companion shoot at the beast with no effect. It's hide is too thick and she has no choice but to aim her gun at you. You try to stop her from doing it, but she shoots you with little hesitation. You black out, not knowing what just happened.

You wake and notice that you are lying on your companion's lap. She sighs upon seeing you now okay before scanning the surroundings. You get up yourself, looking left and right. Much like before, you can't really find your bearings. You look at your companion and speak. "Thanks," you say.

She simply nods.

"That was quite the escape!" you hear the voice. "That creature doesn't stop hunting you until it eats you by the way. You might have gotten away, but it will be back very soon. Would you like a hint on how to kill it? All it'll take is a trade. One of your weapons for some information."

You consider the offer and:

A. Accept
B. Refuse
C. Other

A, sure. The knife preferably. If we don't know how, then we can't do anything, because stay and fight or run, we died either way because we don't know.

xninebreaker FAKKU Writer
A! This is a pretty good trade. Gaining crucial information without the trial and error process.

Well, we don't have an extra life anymore so let's be really careful.

A.

Alright! I don't believe I need a sequence for this so I'm just going to ask. Which weapon do you choose to give up? I read Xen saying the knife, but are you all in agreement?

Check the rounds on the gun. If it's less than half than chuck it I'd say. If it's half or more, than we can probably use it.

Yes, perhaps an inventory check on our companion might be wise.

I forgot that we have a gun.
Oh well, just ditch the knife. We can't handle these monstrosities at close-range

"How many shots do you have left?" you ask your companion.

She checks the clip and inspects. Once she finishes, she holds up seven fingers.

"Out of?" you ask another question.

She holds up ten then two fingers.

"Hurry up, will you? Make a decision already!" the voice says impatiently.

"Okay, okay," you assure the voice that you will make one. With a good long think, you choose to abandon:

A. The Gun
B. The Knife
C. Other

Sure, B, the knife. Why not? I suppose it could make a nice blunt item to beat them with if it runs out of ammo.
