If everyone thinks this is a cool idea I will continue doing this everyday. And the layout on this first one will probably be messed up until I figure out a good way to present this. And the image bars are not working (probably for the same reason the image section isn't working). Also in the works is a female character battle contest (rip off of GameFAQs) where you will be able to vote on different females as they progress through tournament ranks.

I'm in the same position, I want to learn Japanese for fun. I am thinking of sitting in on Japanese class at a nearby college (not getting any credit) just to learn.
My girlfriend and I used to watch it every week but now it's all about Lost and Heroes. and The Office.

Obviously we can't say "If the girl in the manga is under 18, we can't host it." We all now that 90% of all female anime characters are between 14 - 17.
So what I am thinking will end up happening is, if in the actual manga (this only pertains to English ones) the character says something about their age being 11 or something, then we won't host it. And for Japanese ones we can be more lenient but obviously if the characters are blatantly lolicon material then I may step in.
BUT I don't think anyone has posted any solid laws against this or examples of sites getting shut down explicitly for this kind of stuff. So if anyone can do some research that will greatly affect the outcome.

I am also a closet anime watcher.. I am a "Honors Student" that is also a freshman and play Varsity RB in football.It just feels weird because every friend I have is a shallow freak. It is just easier to make it my guilty pleasure (anime not hentai, hentai is some real serious guilty pleasure)
I am wierd as hell, I got into hentai because I wanted more depth in my favorite animes. Then I played an "H" Game and liked it. Made best friends with torrents, and now my computer's HDD is full.
I remember watching my first anime, it was FLCL. I had never been more interested in it. Anime has multiple levels that you can analyze. Skin deep an anime can just be some hilarious stuff with a bit of sexual appeal. But, then you can notice the theme behind the individual show. Then notice that the hilarious shit was setting up a suicide for the next episode.
I liked much more than the shitty sit-coms on here. Then in my life there really is no time to enjoy a book with all the noise in my home (proud owner of earphones). So anime is a nice escape to the stress on my life, mostly maintaining a good social image while trying to keep from being a douchebag. Which brings me back to my point: I do not want to look like the douchebag who gets warm fuzzies when some jap bass guitarist starts doing something towards the middle or end of an anime and something awesome happens in the show.
I enjoy it-others think is immature.
