The three longest roller coasters in the world are all outside the US. Two are in Japan and one of them is a single-tracked racing coaster (double loop), so it doesn't really count. Fourth is Beast @ PKI, but number three...deep in the forests of the English countryside lurks this massive, high-speed monster: Lightwater Valley's "The Ultimate".

Wondering if anyone else here likes roller coasters alot and what ones you've been on.

To those who live east of the Mississippi, I have to say that Cedar Point sucks. The roller coasters are all built on flat land and most are feel soulless and artificial. To me, a real roller coaster takes advantage of natural terrain, like the first roller coaster, the Mauch Chunk. that's why I love Paramount King's Island. The Beast, Top Gun, Adventure Express, even Vortex to an extent all are partially/mostly terrain coasters. God I love the Beast, of all the coasters I've been on it's easily my favorite,especially at night time in the dark.

Currently though I'm infatuated with the technology that Vekoma Int. uses on the Gravity Max in Taiwan. It amazes me how extreme rides are getting and the technological complexity. Movable track sections, switchbacks (see Disney's Expedition Everest) and just plain extreme heights.

About a year ago I was searching for Izurumi's 'A-6' and a Mexican site was hosting the links to the Japanese and English versions here on Fakku (along with the other five). Eventually, I clicked on the little "Fakku" in the upper right hand corner and have been coming back since.

I believe either of two sets of standards for this [depending on mood].

2). the fetus is not alive until it could [reasonably be expected to] live outside of it's mother.
