Spoiler:
the public didn't know is that these Cursed Children are helping them as well. Things would go out of hand should this be known to the public due to the fear of the Cursed Children.

Pretty sure it's public knowledge under context that a Promoter is also in charge of keeping the Initiator leashed.

If there's enough time and motivation, I could go back to reading the first few chapters of the manga to recall some forgotten stuff. I think you were right about what you've said.

Episode 9
Spoiler:
Midori is now my favourite. I think I was the only one feeling uncomfortable when Rentarou suddenly decided to confess to Kisara. Sure it's the power of love spreading, but I feel like there wasn't enough intimacy between them before this happened. Anyway, it seems that Kohina's back judging from those cut marks.

Exactly. In the LN he ends up
Spoiler:
kissing Kisara. That volume is not part of this anime so we wont see it. I don't understand the point of the relationship between Kisara and Satomi. Up until now its been shown that she has a history with Satomi but she has remained a background character for the most part. Enju is the normal choice since she was initially implied to be the female lead. The LN author Satomi decided to make the series less interesting by being in love with Kisara.

I'm biased towards Enju and think a relationship with Kisara is a another wasted opportunity.

Regarding the actual plot
Spoiler:
The public finds out about their potential demise 4 days before it happens. The JDSF want to handle everything to show off their military power in front of civil officers. There seriously is no backup plan other than fighting to the death when one of these towers gets damaged. Inevitably the level 5 will show up and wipe the floor with the JSDF.

The cat ears, no tail, and "deleted" Gastraea War data were the best parts of this episode.

Spoiler:
RIP Loli Harem

If I was Rentaro, I'd say fuck you guys, I'm outta here. And go off and start my own colony. Just like that Masked dude in the beginning.

Oh bite-sized pastries, not what I whiffed earlier but not bad at all. They are bit burnt and flaky though.

Spoiler:
They ramped that very well, lulled audience into false security ruthlessly disassembled that security then threw them directly into the action. Next episode should be good especially when they discover the bomber's identity.

Episode 10
Spoiler:
Of course something bad will happen in every episode. Though I never expect loli class massacre to happen. I expect that one of those girls would end up being Gastreas and rampaged the streets of people. Of course, there ain't time for that given that 3 episodes are left. While I was shocked that all the kids died, I felt a mixture of grief and wicked pleasure along the way. Well, I guess that was because of the whole loli harem in the beginning of the episode bugged me (Jealous? Nah. It irritates me a bit while thinking how the story will progress if this was to go on.) I read some comments elsewhere about this episode and there were a few who mentioned that the girls' death were more brutal in the LN. Though I guess the anime's version is good enough to get some loli lovers mad and feel sad for them.

The scene between Rentarou and Kisara alone was actually alright. If they had more of those kinds of scenes in the previous episodes, I would've shipped them. But forget about that, Kagetane is coming back for Satomi-kun! I hope he just doesn't appear in the next episode only to be defeated again in about a few minutes before the episode ends.

Spoiler:
The Cursed Children were beaten, raped, and hung by a mob they had a confrontation with prior. Satomi shooed them off in the first encounter.

I hear the writer of the LN was inspired by Urobouchi. Hate me for being morbid, but the anime let them off easy and I'm a bit upset that they sugar coated it instead of sticking with the original work.

Spoiler:
I guess the studio didn't want to have to deal with the fuss some people are definitely going to make should that death scene be animated. Though we can see that some people went depressed over the anime's version. The level of depression and anger will be too damn high if it was to follow the LN.

You can't just bomb and kill an entire loli harem like that. This fucking episode.

10: Dropped
Spoiler:
I'm not pursuing the LN for the story after the anime ends. At best I will read the adapted material to see how much was changed in the adaptation. The anime went with a cleaner killing method for the kids since the original method would start a protest or something. That said, Rentarou had nothing to say to Enju when she saw most of her friends were killed. There was no kind of condolences or either of them losing control in rage or anything. Its like Enju went back to normal like nothing ever happened. Another lost opportunity.

Spoiler:
That was the point, it follows with the theme that as Civil Officers they're expected to put aside their own problems to protect the people-they don't even have time to grieve the dead just make sure that more of them don't pop up. Go ahead and drop it if you wish, I'm not here to convince you to watch it just tell you what message they might've been trying to convey.

"I'm going to finish the anime and read the LN up until the end of adapted material, but not intending on reading further" is what was meant by my post.

Spoiler:
This epd brought on some Feels. Everything is going to complete shit, and nobody has time to even grieve. So much Feels man. I can only imagine if the anime keep the same violence that the LN had from what I've heard.
