[General] What anime got you into anime???

I feel ashamed of it since its one of the worse animes I have seen, but the first anime I saw was Naruto. My brother got some dvds from his friend with the first 130 episodes or something and we watched together, and I later went for other animes. I guess the first thing I tried to watch after that was an OVA of tales of phantasia, which had broken links, so I got into my first anime forum because of that.

Gundam and Zoids really got me into anime.

hmmm for me there was a large gap till I really started watching, there was Dragon Ball was the first...then came like Pokemon, Shamen King, Yugi-oh, One Piece (All on like 4kids tv and other saturday morning stations)...then nothing for awhile until I was on youtube and found a Bleach AMV and that got me back into it, since at the time I just got high speed internet so I could now watch it online!

Berserk was the first anime that got me into th scene. I remember it coming on like channel 3 arount 2 am when i was like 5. One of the most bloodiest and very story driven shows of all time. Then ronin warriors, Record of lodoss war, yu yu hakusho DBZ Now im hooked on Hunter x Hunter an one piece. Waiting for new code Geass and new Berserk

I'd say it was Slayers. Saw the original series and really enjoyed it. Still a show I can rewatch every now and then.

Of course probably helped that it was well dubbed (minus one or two voices). Had the action, flashy spells, and comedy. Everything needed to have me coming back for other shows like DBZ.

Dragon Ball z, I didn't even know about the existence of anime I just thought they were fancier cartoons

I have no idea if any of you guys here still know about it, but "Cardcaptor Sakura" was the one that got me hooked up into the anime world.

Since then, I have always adored Sakura Trees, Strawberry, and fluffy bears :3

Amazingly, yes I do, never missed an episode. But Ronin Warriors got me started, but it was DBZ, Outlaw Star,Samurai X, Maroni Kenshin and Gundam that made me keep going and, i don't think you know it, but it was Abenobashi made me get serious and stayed.

I started watching anime when I started watching Naruto...

i used to watch this anime block called Bionix i think they would always show Naruto,Bleach,One Piece,Zatch Bell, Inuyasha,Death Note,Euruka 7 and GundamSeed Destiny so watching those every fri-sat night got me into anime plus im japanese so i liked it as a kid but dont remember which was my 1st

First were Pokemon but what really got me was I think Kiddy Grade and Slayers. :D

Flying House was one of the first animes I saw that I didn't even know it was anime. While I wasn't aware, it lead me to love the art form and styles that snowballed with other shows in the 80's.

Since Flying House is kind of old/unknown anime. I'll just give out the wiki for it.

I never really realised what was anime/manga till the age of 12 or so.
But I sure loved watching Pokemon, Sakura the card capture, Inuyasha, Bleach and Fruits basket. :)
Fruits baskey was my favorite..
