It's still there, turn off your controversial filters in the settings.

We might need to add that to the frequently asked questions tab

Strangely I wasn't aware of this discussion until Jacob's announcement.

I'm mostly supportive of Fakku transitioning towards the "licensed content only" goal. I personally feel it is still too soon for scanlations to be removed at Fakku, but I recognize that it has been known for some time that this would happen eventually.

The fact that Fakku subscriptions is up and running and able to keep up with Comic X-Eros and Comic Kairakuten puts me at ease and lends a lot of creditworthiness to Fakku's ability to carry on. If not for subscriptions, I would not be supportive of removal of scanlations at all.

For future publications, I am confident that Fakku will do well and be able to bring the latest works and have them released in English. Unfortunately there is a tremendous archive of old works that will be removed and it will take a long time and a lot of effort to restore this archive. This issue basically is how Fakku books was started and a wonderful example of success in this area is Love Ridden & TiTiKEi which were two very popular scanlated books, that were taken down for what felt like eternity, but eventually made their way back. It would be great to speed up this process w/o interfering with new content. Fakku already has experience in this area and only needs to work fast enough to meet demand. Of course if the publishers decide to make more tankobon's or repackage old ones then it's win/win in this area.

My biggest reservation about the removal of scanlated works is Doujins (which is a significant portion of my reading). Unfortunately there won't be any place in the new world for these things.

Ah...I knew this day was coming...

I'll still be around, looking at teasers, browsing forums and mainly talking about doujins/mangas that I want to reread. Maybe in a few years I'll come back and subscribe.

Until then, it's back to ghosting/stalking.

I understand why you're doing what you are. The artists will benefit greatly, although they are destroying the thing that made them known to begin with.

Still, it feels like the community got strung along for years, only to be flipped the bird at the end. I guess growth means forgetting where you came from, and who made you.

It's the nature of these things.

We've actually been flipping the artists off all these years, and now are finally starting to support them.

I mean, not like we can't get the scanlated stuff somewhere else until Fakku brings it back or if it doesn't come back. That's why it doesn't feel like a loss. In fact we get a lot more new, not yet seen material in turn. For the lost old stuff go to ex or doujin-moe and enjoy it along the offial one from Fakku.

Huh, didn't really know about this until the new sticky was up. It's really a shame to see this and I doubt I'll be on Fakku as much I am currently.

No, I'm not the "LOOL HW DARE U SPPORT ARTSTS U SOLD OUT FUK U AM LEAFING N DAS EMPRTNT EVN THO I NVR BGHT A BK FRM U" guy. It's just that I have a lot of expenses these days, and I'm not planning to add "hentai books with only one or two chapters that I'm interested in" (at least that's the way it is with most of the ones you've released so far) to that list, sorry.

I'll definitely buy it if the artist of the doujin is one of my favorites (ex. Fei), but otherwise, it's not very likely. Again, sorry. I guess I'll stick around the writing section of the forum for now.

It's not like Fakku was that great to begin with.
Honestly this is a good thing because not much is lost, in fact there is a lot to gain here.
There were and are still far better sites with much more free content, and if they started deleting their stuff to become legit then it would be a REAL loss.

I didn't know about this until I saw sticky. I think this is right decision, artists deserve benefit from their works.

I hope you will release more and more book.

This Site has reached its limit and will be going down from now on.
To Pay is one thing but the amount of money is just a bad joke. You sell one book for 20$ that nearly four times the original price of 6,50$.
You have just one payment method and dont get it done after all this time to change that.
And at last you want to remove most of your content, thats just ridiculous. Every other site then has a lot more content than you and dont demant something.
And for those who write we get the new books that are nowhere else. There are enough examples for sites where all the books are released in an instant. First in japanese an then the single chapters translated.

Just because it the truth post getting deleted. Haha just WoW.

>6.50
1000 to 2300 yen don't make 6.50 in dollars. Some tanks are 900 but they are shorter or part of a series. Problem is you're not in japan to buy it at that price. Buying them off amazon jp cost double shipping, proxy fees so your 1000 yen book cost 400 to ship to a proxy, proxy fees, handling and shipping to you in the west. Mankdrake does sell to the gaijin but depends on stock you might be able to get the one or two you want but then again they are working with a stock from several stores so old or last release cycles are low. Plus censored and untranslated. If you're in it to just jack it to drawings then why not just torrent it or online readers elsewhere? There many other sites... some with rips. Shitty low res but still.

I just an example Momojiri Joshi aka peachy butt girls. Japanese tank book price is 1143yen=9.45$. Lets go with mandrake... welp no books available. So i just give an example of Store Utsunomiya LO 藤坂リリック リリカルきゅーと which is on sale for 800yen. With shipping it 1300 yen aka 10.75. If you go the amazon way then add 4-600 yen for proxy price and 400 for sal or 1200 for ems generally.

For a few bucks you get translation plus digital. Better paper than the japanese and WAY better from the other hentai or manga books printed the for round eyes. Project h had to step up their game because of Jacob. Worth it for the collector.

Plus lrn2google. Lazyness isn't the same as fake rage when it always outhere somewhere. Even jacob doesn't fuck with the web vastness of content.

No one has been deleting any posts that criticize the move to remove content. In fact, we've been doing pretty good at replying to them to clear up any confusion.

Prior to scanlation takedown, would it be possible for you to create a feature to export a text-only list of Title/Author/Genre favorites on one's list?

I'd be more than happy to seek them out legally, but keeping a huge Faves list helps me keep track of not just the manga, but the information.

A downloadable/copy-pastable list option before all those manga disappear would be a great way to relocate old faves AND pay Fakku for them once they're uploaded as "legit"!

First of all I wanna give the Fakku team props. It takes a lot of initiative to make this kind of change, especially when it is going to hurt the site in the short term. Nothing but respect to you guys for that.

Secondly, I'm afraid I won't be coming here much anymore. I'm a college student and I just can't fit paying for porn into my budget and feel good about it.

I really hope things go well and you guys find a way to keep this site wonderful. Best of luck guys and gals. You've earned more praise than I can give.
