I'd put it into a savings account and use the interest to subsidize my living expenses. I'll hopefully retire young, pull it out and combine it with the rest of my earnings and buy an acre or two in the mountains. Spend the rest of my life enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery, gardening, working on random projects and I'd imagine virtual reality will be along by then so I'll probably spend most of my time just screwing around.

Spend a bucket load to buy materials to get inventions started
Invest in instant noodle stock
Set up a national chain of either dim-sum or yakisoba food trucks
Create a super powerful lightweight capacitor [who doesn't want to shoot lightning out of their hands??]

I'm not sure if people are overly optimistic in what you can do with a million dollars or if Sweden is just expensive as fuck.
For a million dollars I would pay of my student loans and buy a decent apartment in central Stockholm. If a single million would be able to get me something substantial that I could live in indefinitely.

OT: Get better computer equipment then get more video game consoles (all of them, really). After that, I'd have everything necessary.
As to grandiose things; well, a million dollars won't get you as much anymore. It's not like I can buy a car of solid gold or anything (Hell, with the way gas prices are, just filling it up might as well cost a million).
But the fact of getting an entire million in one shot is quite overwhelming so it's interesting to see what people would to.

I would invest $250,000 into stocks and bonds, put another $500,000 in the bank, and spend the last quarter on myself.
