okay try to revive this thread

COPYRIGHTS what do you think

I mean okay on the one hand I completly agree.
illegal copy of all software are harmeful to the industry and should be forbidden, but especially in the case of games, I think in a different way.
Why should I pay up to 60 bucks for a game that is often shitty, so I say it should be allowed to download games and after trying, you can buy it and support the producer. Demos are a good way but often way to short to show all features.

Even though i agree with this i know that i often say just this to myself when downloading a game, but after i've finished the game i don't really feel like buying it anymore, that's probably the case for most people.

We're deluding ourselves that it's ok to download it since we're gonna buy it later, assuming it's good ofc, only to just saying fuck it after we're done with it.

This was more about the "downloading"-part than about "COPYRIGHTS", but i just had to write that.

Copyrighting is absolutely necessary. It would be impossible for game designers, artists, etc to make any money unless the majority of the population was afraid to pirate it.

Take into consideration that people who download media may not have been willing to purchase it even if they had to. For example: Do you think that anyone would have EVER purchased all of the doujins on Fakku even if it was their only choice?

They don't sell them in England so I can't.

That's another example. There are some things that we wouldn't be able to purchase even if we wanted to. In the case of doujins, most major doujin websites don't even ship outside of Asia.

(I know this is getting off the topic of copyright, but at least it's keeping the thread alive)

okay to bring the thread up to copyright again it also a fact that china is copying technogoly a lot. For example when I was on the Cebit in germany I saw some asian walking around the area photographing every fucking monitor in the area and writting down it properties.

Most german company who moved to china for decreasing their productions cost will come back after a coulple of years because their corporate secret are stolen and sold to other company by some employees.

which leads to the problem that copyright differs country to country.
In germany for example we have the so called "urheberrecht" which give the rights to producer. In the american however the rights mostly lie in the hand of publisher, but the producer only has a little right to a say.
I don´t know who copyrights are handle in china....I don´t even know if they even have a copyright.
