Cam of someone playing the Metal Gear Solid 3-D game (or more like watching the tech demo, but whatever), looks awesome.

Nintendo has impressed me to a even greater extant because you can even see the 3D effects through a cam.

can't wait to get a 3DS

I'm a bit skeptical on how this is really going to work; saw the video and it just looks like the PSP on graphics. I did laugh at one comment at Gametrailers "I'm probably gonna get thumbs down, but I think Nintendo just murdered the PSP and iPhone."

I wonder if now Sony will release PSP2 with second "Analog stick"

I do wish their online sevice was better (similar to PSN or XLive for download titles instead of transfer data by Nintendo)

How could you have seen the 3D when your computer screen isn't 3D? xD

Ah I see. Half the pixels are slightly oriented right and the other half is oriented left. You can notice it when he moves the 3DS.

Also its been Slashdotted here with more info.

Oh geez another Power button right where it'll be mistakenly pressed.
Did they not learn from the original DS!?

Also sad it will not have a GBA port, but it seems they've moved on from that anyhow... :(

How is it even possible to shut off the DS accidently? It's not even a button.

Yo I was disappoint at no pokemon trailers at e3. Anyway, I'm getting this.

Getting one simply for Kid Icarus: Uprising.

The system looks to be a huge improvement for handheld systems by Nintendo. It may become my favorite system in due time. The graphic capabilities are simply astounding.

And here comes my complain:

Why do game developers decide making RPGs for these small handheld consoles? For me RPGs like Final Fantasy, KDH and Assasin's Creed should be played on a powerful console where you can play all day long without crying your eyes out like some tard slicing onions with nail pile. I like these consoles for playing games to pass time while im waiting for my car and I can't pass my time by having my eyes godged out reading all those story line subtitles.

I recommend getting glasses for your increasingly bad eyesight. Even the horrible font Sega is prone to using on its DS games isn't that bad.

Also, to answer your question: It's the same reason that Monster Hunter Tri jumped from the PS3 to the Wii. (It's also the same reason that no one should be surprised if Persona 5 is on the 3DS.)

Strangely, I never had problems with the power button on my DSphat. Also, GBA games can't be supported forever, but you should already know that since the GB and GBC games aren't able to be played on a DS.

About your reply on my complain about small screens yes I agree that handheld console screens isn't that bad but so is slowly suffocating yourself inside a closed room with the Jonas Brothers' posters on every corner. It won't kill you immediately but after a few hours you'll find yourself in need to be sectioned to the nearest mental hospital. In the same way you can play a hand held console and not feel the stress until you find yourself unable to read the letters on the blackboard while your college professor starts to massacre your grades in front of you.

My main point is for me RPG games = the bigger the screen the better because I like taking my time looking at all the fine details without sacrificing my retina.

About your answer to my question:

And that reason is?

Then stick to consoles, problem solved. Or don't play all day or something. In any case, handhelds have always had their own exclusive games, and that's not going to change to change any time soon, nor will handhelds ever fall out of use. So let's not complain about something that isn't going to change.

You could use Goggle or Wikipedia instead of having me spell it out for you. I even gave Monster Hunter Tri as a specific example.

Spoiler:

Yeah, as expected of you, "Then stick to consoles problem solved" -my main point exactly how smart of you to notice in fact I don't even know why you tried to justify the small screen issue like your eyes are the same pair of eyes everybody in the world has. I made a statement that I'm not gonna play RPGs on a handheld console and you jump on it like it matters to you if I played one or not. What is wrong with you? "dont complain" -*facepalm* what the hell are you complaining about me complaining? I'm going to complain all I want this shit is not free I don't want to accidentally spend on something I'm gonna regret.

edit: and I don't see what exclusive games have in connection to my complain about game developers switching to hand held consoles. It's totally different when you make a game specifically designed for a console in contrast to migrating to a console for whatever reason. What you just said is in summary is hand held consoles have games and will always continue to have games and nothing else.

Spoiler:

You do know that it doesn't give any real justification at all right? That reason just makes it worse. Now the game developers look like whores who just wants to have a share of Nintendo's money pile.

Spoiler:

About your Monster Hunter Tri example:

It's a fucked up example. It's a game made for the wii that discourages the use of the wii's features. THANK GOD! Because who the fuck wants to use the motion sensor? It doesn't give me, a customer, on why I should be glad about some works moving to handheld consoles (my original complain) but it just shows how developers sacrificed quality by moving to something that's not designed to deliver just to feed their employees and co-workers.

I love how people complain about the overuse of 3D in films, but when nintendo releases a handheld that does the same thing....everyone hypes the shit out of it.

Well i dont think that comment is really fair. While there is a lot of hype for it, there is also a lot of potential for new ways of interaction with a game as well as a new novel way of presenting the medium. Granted there will be A LOT of developers that hop onto the bandwagon and flood the 3DS with crap, there will always be those that will be able to utilize the 3d without insulting our intelligence or wallets.

As for the movies, i suspect people complaining the 3d use in movies because the stupid glasses are compulsory for the effects and that too many movies are using 3d without being made with 3d in mind with takes a lot away from the movie itself.

Hopefully, the 3DS will have a strong enough library of decent games that will justify all the hype it is receiving.

I think 3D works much better for games than for movies/TV. Still, I could perfectly well live without it as well. But let's leave judging this until we've seen what the 3D games will feel like. And let's not forget that 3D is not the only improvement in the 3DS.

Time to start saving money again, I guess. :D

I believe that 3D in games is okay as long as it's a core part of the game not just there for the looks and it doesn't end up making the game too complex. Usually developers forget this though and end up with a tiny plot compared to its behemoth 3D environment.
