Better yet, a team up with both the protagonist from P4 and P3. That'd be twice the badass in one game, and maybe you could switch POVs every now and again with different crimes that eventually lead to one big plan...Nah, that sounds too cheesy and predictable.

HOW BOUT WE JUST DITCH THE WHOLE SERIES? We need a "NEW" persona. Its great, but we need a new perspective on the SMT franchise. I don't want persona to become another Final Fantasy...

That's a good thing to me. I mean... If it keeps the same mechanics as the other two, I don't see a reason for it not to be on 3DS. It really depends on what the 3DS is capable of.

I doubt it's for the 3DS it might be a completely different one. I'm sure we'll be seeing a PS3 Persona.

I'm sure it's a remake or something. To date there has never been any persona game on nintendo's platform so why would they make a new one on a different console. They would have made that leap a long time ago when the DS was the king of the mountain. Don't forget that right now the PSP and the PS3 are the best selling consoles in Japan. Check Kotaku.com for the numbers.

Edit: Also lets not forget what kind of game Persona is. The 3Ds won't really do much for that type of gameplay.

Define "best-selling". The DS and PS2 are still the highest in terms of total units, followed up by the PSP, then the Wii. And in the past 6 months, the sales of the DS and PSP have been about the same, with the Wii being next in line. (According to VGChartz)


For what it's worth, no console is particularly suited for Persona's type of gameplay.

When is the release date? What new features can we expect? Is there some info- related stuffs?

As for your other comment, I'm just sayin the odds of the new persona being on nintendo instead of the playstation are low and that the 3Ds isn't going to change those odds if anyone was thinking that.

Seeing how Dragon Quest IX was NDS only, nothing surprises me anymore.
