I'm actually playing South Park: The Stick of Truth, and I'm sure it's on my top 2, but I fear Shin Megami Tensei: IV is my favorite of all time, for a number of reasons.

Timesplitters: Future Perfect. It had a great sense of humour, the controls were good (Controls are one of the most important things in games to me), I loved the sound design and music (another very important aspect for me), the story was entertaining, the characters were really likable (R110, anyone?) and above all else; it was a hell of a lot of fun to play. Even today, I still enjoy playing it. I just wish they'd make a sequel...

Its a hard choice, I have a few favorites though.
I really love Osu! because its such a fun and simple rythm game, then there's pokemon emerald which is a fun and bright rpg, but it lacks story.
there is also Tales of Phantasia(for the ps1) which has a cool world and awesome but simple plot, I love the characters and the combat system.
If I should choose a favorite it would probably be a tie between Tales of Phantasia and Osu!

Phantom Brave for the PS2. Played it for 300+ hrs and I still am not satisfied w/ all the work I've done leveling up my characters and finding all those ultimate weapons.

As of right now i pretty much only play either League of Legends and Counter-Strike: GO, but some of my other favorite games are the Half-Life and Left 4 Dead series.

Half-Life series i just think is the best single player game ever made, the game play is interesting and fun, the weapons are imaginary and original, the story is amazing and great, and i really like all of the soundtracks.

Left 4 Dead was just really fun to play with friends when it first came out, i think we spent close to 600 hours on it, good times.

Counter-Strike i have been playing like ever since the 1.4 or 1.5 i think, and it just has been thousands of hours of rage, joy and memories.

League of Legends is currently the game i spend most time playing, the basic idea of the game is great, 5 versus 5, the more skillful you are the more you will enjoy it, but you can still enjoy it even though you might not be good at it.

My favorite game of all time is Resident Evil REmake for the Gamecube. It's the remake of RE1 on the PS1. It's my favorite game because it changed my life (well...gaming life) as silly as that sounds. I was starting to grow a tiny bit tired of just Nintendo primarily so I started diving into other games and tried some Valve stuff and etc. And I liked them of course. But that's it. I still felt a little lost with no real passion towards a particular genre or series. I had no real focus. When MVC3 came out I saw Wesker and knew he was from Resident Evil which I've played a few min of several of the series games in the past. (Re1, and 2 as a kid and I got scared and stopped. Re0 as a young teen where I got scared and stopped. And Umbrella Chronicles which was cool but I was a bit lost) Anyway Wesker was super powered and fast in this and I was wondering how the hell that happened because I remembered what the series originally was. So I decided to give the series another shot to find out what was up.

My friend helped me get REmake and I was terrified while playing it because I just wasn't experienced with horror games. Which is weird because I love horror movies and am 99% immune to them actually scaring me. But because REmake was a video game where I'm an actual participant where if something goes wrong, bad things happen to ME (through the game avatar) I was screaming inside, outside, afraid to play alone (at first) and jumping and feeling stressed and excited. But instead of quitting I forced myself through those feelings and emotions. And my obsession with Resident Evil and survival horror started then. It's been my focus and passion ever since. Because this was the genre I needed that I never knew I needed until then. My interest in the genre helped me start being interested in game design, game mechanics, and what makes games good or bad. How important some elements can be. So basically I was able to start appreciating games as an artform.

Resident Evil REmake has such a fun scary immersion. The layout and camera, the music, everything. Even though now I don't get as terrified when I play survival horror games and I'm almost entirely level headed during them, I still enjoy just being immersed in that place and places like it.

There is no HUD. The music is very eerie and helps you feel immersed into the mansion. The fixed camera angles give you cool perspectives you don't normally see in games. Especially now. Once you get used to the camera and controls it's really easy which is why I don't humor people who label them as flaws. The game has a relatively simple story, most of which you learn through files. It didn't need a deep story or characters because it's focus was gameplay. Which you can play different ways. Every playthrough can be different. You can make some variations in the order you do things. Sometimes people say if a horror game doesn't actually scare the shit out of you, that it's 'bad" and fails as a game. But I think as a game alone that Resident Evil REmake is good whether it actually scares you or not.

I probably sound ridiuclous because of how into it I am and how I'm treating it like a life saving religion that turned me away from drugs, but before this game and it's genre, I was very tired and bored and directionless (hobby wise.) The game and the genre just finally made me a bit happpier.

Counter Strike, like the first version.

My favorite game of all time has to be Armored Core 1 on the PS1. I'll boot that game up even now and have just a total blast.

Runner Ups:
- Thief 1 and 2
- Marathon 1 (M1A1)
- Half-Life 1 (So many mods and just plain fun)
- Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
- Far Cry 3
- Doom 1 and 2 (Couple it with GZDoom and Brutal Doom and you've got yourself a grand old time)
- Deus Ex
- Beneath a Steel Sky

There are others but these are the ones that come immediately to mind

Persona 3 Portable for the PSP

- amazing story
- classic turn based rpg
- nice inclusion of dating sim
- amazing soundtrack
- sorta pokemon-like feeling with the collection of the personas

I fell in love with this game right from the start but the dungeon crawling and farming/lvling/grinding whatever you name it kinda bored me out and distanced me from this game : ( nonetheless a legendary game
