I am a horrible admin for not seeing this post earlier.
Arrancar awesome job on these banners! The banner contest will actually start sometime soon, maybe tomorrow? Someone get on the IRC and remind me about it tomorrow and I will get it started.
The second one is definitely my favorite of the two. All the characters look awesome but I do think it is a bit too cluttered. Once the contest starts there will be no requirements, but at the moment I really like the manga pages as a background with color images in front of them. Maybe incorporate that into your next one?

With the latest IE version, it really isn't all that different. That being said, there are a few small differences. FF is supposedly safer, although I don't have any evidence to prove so. As for visual differences, they are generally minor. The push by Jacob for people to use FF is probably becuase it may take extra work on his part to make sure the site looks right on different programs and hes probably most used to FF. An example of FF vs IE:
I am under the impression that Jacob has a lot of things he would like to do with fakku and having to spend his time on annoying little things like that could suck.
That is actually the exact reason I prefer FireFox :D Realistically I should and will code stuff that works perfectly in both, sometimes it's just a pain.
A while ago we had that feature and I may bring it back in the future. But for now I would just rather people post on the forums about their favorites :D
I meant to have a giant discussion about the ads and everything but I haven't had a chance to sit down and get anything started. But azumax, it did affect me when you said that you believe FAKKU is "classier" than having OMGWTF SEX NOW BANNER ads.
I saw that post right when you made it and since then I have been trying out ads from different sources to see what works best with out community. So you will see the type of ad change a lot over the next few days.

I'm not a fan of Hentai ____ or FAKKU ____, I think we can do better. But the rank names should be related to each other somehow, so you are on the right track :D
We haven't added the torrent info yet, but thanks for reminding me about it. This is one of those things that wouldn't take too long to do I just keep forgetting about it.

Their clustered mySQL and web servers allow my site to qualify 20/60/140ms (best/avg/worst) and internal communication with SQL is always less then 3ms. Their $15 plan is dedicated ip, 3GB bandwidth, 300gig storage and connection limit is dependent on cluster tho they have no problems when i asked then to unlimit my account.
As for storage I like to keep all my file on a separate host so that if everyone is downloading 10files a new visitor wont half to wait 5min for the site to load. Quite a few times I have come to visit the sits been painfully laggy and timed out. For file storage i use http://www.servage.net. They have a good ftp/http qualify time but their SQL servers are in another country so i cant use them but I do have a 45% off cupon for the life on a new user, so $4.25 for another 360gig storage, 3600mb traffic, and they let you map them as a drive!
Also to add to the fun I have 1700 doujins, nearly 300 anime series, and 25 erogames that I wouldn't mind making a bloody wackload of DVD's but no way I can upload that much personally.
Too bad your not on a small company web hosting plan, I got a dual PIII 1.4ghz, 1gig ECC, 2U scsi rackmount server I can donate lol
NOTE: Ill compile a list of my collections and post in user uploads, ill try to upload whats requested as its convenient.
Checked out the Canadian web hosting, not a bad deal actually. We do go through about 90Gigs of bandwidth a day though. But I was thinking about buying a server and just renting rack space somewhere for it, so if you actually wanted to donate one that would be awesome.
And please post some of your collection it sounds like you have a lot to share :D

I don't know but I felt like I rely on FAKKU to come to when I need anime, manga, or a useful source rather then Google because it's full of suggestions and I often run out of what kind of anime to watch. When you go into the image section just go into one of the galleries, if you log in there should be an "Upload Image" button somewhere in the top right corner. :D

hmm, titles would be fun wouldnt they. perhaps they should be something along the lines of adj.+ fakker. like rank 1 being something like lurker fakker or maybe something a little more fun like slimey fakker. and it could eventually work up to more common positive adj. like elite fakker or something. another possibility is some kind of joke on the term fakker. like some noun+fakker. lowest being something like pig fakker. hmm, i think thatd be kinda funny, but probably a bit too negative. dunno, just some thoughts.
Haha those are pretty good ideas, we are definitely making progress! Keep posting your thoughts and once I know without a doubt that someone has thought of the perfect titles they will go into effect.

.. its a TV show based about these spoiled brats that throw 40-100k parties and their parents let me get away with it. Its the stupidest thing I have ever seen yet my gf loves it.

Yeah my girlfriend also watches that show (she claims it is more like a car wreck you can't turn away from) and she just informed me that at then end of this episode the mom never gives her the car back. So maybe there is some hope after all.
One of the Fate Stay Night English doujinshi has futanari in it. Sister's Syrup maybe? Sounds right.
