Anoying ads

I am sure there are other topics on here like this but I have a serious issue with the ads. I actually like the ones that are a page insert before each comic, they are simple and at least entertaining. The banner ads honestly I mostly ignore but once and a while one might catch my attention and I will click it out of sheer curiosity. But the popup window that occurs when you click to move to the actually comic is redundant. Not to mention for some reason tonight I go to log in and I have this irritating little mini advert window popping up in the lower right corner of my screen. It stays for a few seconds and goes away for maybe a few minutes then it comes back, its advertising for people in my area who want to screw … if I were interested in stepping out on my wife I wouldn’t be using hentai. I understand that ads are what help fund Fakku and I am cool with some of them so long as they don’t distract me from my purpose, which is sometimes general reading for pleasure. It carries the same kind of feel to it that being in the library enjoying a good book and someone keeps making a lot of noise nearby. I have been with Fakku for a long time, long before I created my account and I have seen periods where the ad issue got so bad I would go elsewhere for a periods of time just to read in peace. I always come back. But it is annoying that just trying to sign in to see what new additions have been added to my fallowed areas causes a pop up, the advert, which shows up on EVERY page and a secondary window opening.
It goes like this
Favorites click on Fakku
Log in – secondary window/tab open
Click on username – secondary widow/tab open (another one)
Advert begins popping up in corner
Sign in
Click forum (to add this topic) – secondary window/tab open
Click add topic – secondary window/tab open
Open second tab to notifications
Advert now on both screens
I open each new comic and get the 5 second countdown – advert on all pages
Click to go to the first page pop up activates – for each comic.
I mean come on this is getting ridiculous
I am sure I speak for most of the people on here, I come to relax at the end of my day, and the more intrusive ads are annoying to say the least. Can we please shy away from this level of nuisance ads? Please

Okay so slight add on. When I tried to actually view the comics it wouldn’t do anything. I waited for the five seconds and clicked remove. As expected the secondary window opened, as did the pop up. But the page didn’t change. I tried to go to select pages and nothing. I decided to try and go in to the books that I have purchased only to find the same damn advert there. This is starting to get a slight more than annoying.

Well there is two solutions
One is to get Fakku! gold when it comes out, no ads.
Two is adblock, which slighty hurts fakku's add revenue but it's common for most people to use.

I think he is giving feedback. As he stated he's not against advertising, he just wants to share his opinion that the current advertising scheme is damaging the user experience on the site. I think it's a fair thing to say. Personally I'm not that annoyed by it but I can definitely understand anyone who feels that way.

Well both actually. I fully plan to get gold upon its release. That and I am not sure how but in the midst of everything last night I was hit with some downloaded adware crap that has taken me literally all day to remove. I’m not saying it came from Fakku but I don’t know where else it would have come from. I haven’t used my laptop for anything but work except for visiting Fakku. Now that I have that issue taken care of its better but the issue with the popup windows tied to the first page comics occurred prior to the issue last night. Some of my frustration in that area has been building with the ads but last night was somewhat of a … breaking point. I do look forward to the gold program though, that and buying more books. I love Fakku and will continue to support it, so long as it does not hinder my enjoyment of the site.

the adds are the reason fakku can be free, and not a shit heap, or at least they were until fakku books was such a sucess, but i dont thin they will actually ever go away. just live with them, and please dont use add block, just support this great site

There are three solutions that can get past this, one is to use Adblock but block the domain of the pop up ad whilst allowing ads to be shown on fakku.net
The second is to get noscript and disallow the add script from ever running but this is a BIG venture for normal users as you have to allow every script for every website until you visited all of your frequent pages (I use this but allow the sidebar adds to run)
The final way which I used once many years ago was a new tab behaviour modifier which stops switching to new tabs or makes new windows not pop up 'in front' of your current page. You will have to google this for your specific browser and if it even still works

The new adds are making it impossible to read on my ipad app. Every time i try to skip the add after the timer is done it takes me to a new page I hit back and the add is playing again with no way around this. I have been using the same browsing app for the past year never had this problem until today. Unless this is fixed I can't read my daily hentai :(

I mainly go on Fakku on my iPad, and one ad is completely ruining my experience. It's some shitty cosplay JAV ad, which I literally give no shits about, but it's so insistent that i should watch their content that it's not letting me hit the skip button. Please fix this ASAP.
