hello, when ever i try to change my email i get the following error message: "Sorry, but this e-mail address is invalid."

Have you tried checking your address's validity by accessing said account? That's the only reason I can think of that would give back an error because your e-mail account doesn't exist anymore. Or you spelled your e-mail address wrong with a wrong mail-server domain address. Or maybe your e-mail's home site mail server is down. Try again later and see what happens.
