Change Forum's NSFW Ad's

Yes, I know it may sound weird for a Hentai site to change NSFW ad's for SFW ad's, but I have a strong point I want to share for this. We're talking about the forum, the same forum who has the rules:

- NO GENITALS
- NO OBSCENE
- NO DISGUSTING (by criteria of Staff)

What are the reason of those rules? Simple, make the forum a borderline SFW, to improve the eyecandy when you don't want to masturbate (when like, you want to post or reading a post), and finally because it's more stylish and useful for the end of forums that is discuss stuff and chitchatting. Now, those rules makes little sense when you have animated ads with huge cocks and zoomed vaginas everywhere. Of course, the rules of the forum actually works because I guess most users are adblocking them or a few of them don't mind the NSFW.

Well, forum posters are often loyal users, if you ask to the loyal users to unblock the forum I think a lot of them will do. But, people like me likes those rules I indicated above, so we're not going to unblock the ads if the ads are contradicting those rules. So I propose SFW ads for the forums and then put a message asking to unblock the forums.

Well it's not usually not an issue when the ads at the lowest part of the pages across the forums. Jacob's problem with such avatars was that he couldn't browse Fakku in public with a peace of mind, I think.

Yeah, but most the time when you want to post, you down all the pages directly where the ad is. You can always post using the above Post Reply, but I don't think too many people posts without reading any post to be frank. It's a similar at browsing as if you want to read the lasts post of a page you'll have to deal with the ads anyway. So I guess if that was Jacob's intention, then he's adblocking his own ads to archive it, lol (or being extremely paranoid to avoid them), that doesn't prove to be too efficient to be honest. It's just a suggestion, though.

Well, that was all in the past. The rule was established when we didn't have had such obnoxious ads in the bottom, Jacob's avatar was awesome yet a derpy hand-drawn one. I guess Jacob's in the safe from contradiction so long as he can get a more SFW ad. I don't really agree with your suggestion (because funding is forever important), but I do acknowledge your point.

Actually my suggestion is to prevent everyone from just adblocking it... or never clicking it, or prevent watching it. I don't think he's winning too much from forum clicks as it is now, though I can't know that. It was a suggestion anyway. Not really implying to remove ads until founding a SFW, though.

These days, people gets rid of ads because ads, not necessarily NSFW ads.

The only ads I'm meh about are the ones on the home page on the side bar. The Lords of Valkyrie ads and ones on the bottom aren't bad.

I don't mind the NSFW ads (I actually enjoy them most of the time; mmm, delicious), but I see your point and agree with it, to some extent.

People may want to browse Fakku in public, or at least not completely in private with no one around at all, and with the ads, that's pretty much impossible without people thinking you're a pervert. Or, you know, if you have no shame whatsoever, which is a tall order for most people. The only way to browse the forum around people without them seeing a ton of porn is to block the ads, and while most people may block the ads simply because they're ads, I'm sure there are plenty of people like you, who have to block them because of their content, and if there is a solution to please such people, perhaps it should be implemented.

To play devil's advocate, however, the biggest problem with that plan is the inevitable lack of SFW ads. I doubt most non-pornographic business will want to advertise on a site that provides people with pornographic material. (I can't see the Perfect Bacon Bowl wanting an ad of Fakku.) I may, however, be wrong on that point, or there may be sites that sell pornographic material that will put up SFW ads, the way J-List does, but enough of those would need to be found for this sort of plan to be implemented.

All that stuff aside, maybe there could be an option (selectable through own's Settings) where a person could choose to have either NSFW ads or SFW ads.

Just gonna throw 2 more cents in here. I understand wanting to be able to browse Fakku in public--I browse Fakku all the time on my phone, but usually what I have to be cautious of more than the ads are people's sigs and avatars (hell, my own sig has a girl with huge tits in a tiny bra). And I'm aware you can turn signatures off, but still--Fakku is a porn site at its core and it's hard not to run into NSFW content somewhere.

Sounds like we need a "FAKKU for kids" option.

Precisely the reason I came to this thread. I'd like to support this idea if it is at all possible.

Outside incoherent babbling/art board/hentai board, adblock ON and assuming nobody is actually staring my screen with impressive focus, I didn't had any trouble browsing the forums even being watched. Now I guess it's still troublesome if you're like "I must hide my anime power level no matter what!" as you'll still spot ecchi there and anime characters everywhere (just like in any anime/otaku/most nerds communities by the way), but meh (at least for me).

The thing is I just don't understand why to have those rules while you have ads that obviously broke them 24/7. Those rules should be dismissed or the ads should change or... just keep status quo as the site is assuming everyone who are troubled by the ads are adblocking them already anyway. Though that isn't a great solution to actually get money from them, lel, I don't know the stats anyway, so I may be wrong, but that's why this was just a suggestion (considering my point of view).

Well for one, the rules are horribly outdated.

The rules are definitely outdated, I'll update them sometime soon.
