General Questions

Why was __ tag removed?
No tags have been removed from the site. You most likely have to turn the controversial filter off in your settings. To do this, simply go to My Account>Settings>User Preferences>Show Controversial Settings>Yes.

When will …… be up again?
As soon as we fix it. Do not ask for when something will be done; it will be done when it is done. We do appreciate your patience.

Can I request doujins/manga for the scan/sub team to work on?
No, we don't do requests.

I want to Donate, how can I?

Forum related Questions

There's someone who is breaking the rules, what can I do?
Send the staff a report about the problem post/user by using the little report button on the bottom right of the post. There is no way the staff can get to every single offense, but with your help we can.

How do you get/lose Reputation?
You can +/- rep someone when you have 15 posts. To +/- someone, there should be green +/- buttons near the bottom right of each post. You cannot +/- rep yourself.

I want to change my user name, how do I do it?
Send an e-mail to jacob@fakku.net, be sure to include your old username and the new username you would like.

How many user name changes can I have?
We allow one username change per user.


Status/Title related Questions

How do I get a title?
The option to create custom titles comes when you become a subscriber. There's also the added bonus of a whole bunch of hentai, but we wont get into that.

What about the other FAKKU titles?
FAKKU Global Moderator - These staff members have moderator powers over the entire forum, and can access the Report List and ban users for violating the rules.
FAKKU Moderator - Moderators of one or more specific forums.
FAKKU Translator/Editor/Subber/Scanlator - Members of the resident translation team. These are the people who work very hard to bring you our translated releases.
FAKKU Uploader - The Uploader status is a special status given to exceptional users who we feel have contributed a considerable amount to the site, whether it be in the nosebleed section or uploads of doujins, manga, games, and/or anime, over a long period of time.
FAKKU Artist - This rare title is awarded to outstanding artists on FAKKU who have contributed over a period of time.


Profile Questions (Signatures)

What are the limits for Forum signatures?
300 pixels height. This includes everything in your signature space, including but not limited to images, text, closed spoilers, and white space. The character limit 1280. Videos are not allowed in signatures.

How can I check if my signature is too large?
Find an image that is 300 pixels in height, and compare it to the entirety of your signature space. Alternatively you can do some simple addition. Add up all the elements in your signature space.

What happens if I've been warned?
Your signature will be changed for you, or you may be temporarily banned depending on the situation.


Administration related Questions

What sort of duration variation is there for being banned?
We tend to hand out temporary bans for minor offenses, such as posting spam. Minimum ban length is 3 days(72 hours). More serious offenses will necessitate longer bans, and blatant rule violation may result in a permanent ban. Repeated serious rule violation will result in an IP ban.

Is it possible to be permanently banned with no prior first offense?
It's possible but extremely difficult to do, so don't try.

How can I contribute to FAKKU?
There are tons of ways. You can upload images to the nosebleed section, post games/movies/CG sets in the User Uploads section, contribute intelligently to ongoing discussion, or buy swag from the store... so many ways. Just don't break any rules while you work your way up.

How can regular users contribute to the Games or Video sections?
Post a single thread in the respective User Uploads sub-forum with what you've uploaded, a description, preview pics (preferably) and links (See also User Upload Regulations).

Why do you censor Images/Doujinshi?
It's not like we go through every single doujin and blur it up. If we did, we'd probably be the most unpopular hentai site on the web. Porn from Japan is always censored, and any uncensored content is due to their being licensed in the US. Some exceptional doujins that are chosen to be translated by our own translation team are sometimes also de-censored.
