Ah, that old problem that's been bothering me for about two years now and was only made worse with the last attempt to fix it. Experimented around a bit with the Inspect Element function of Firefox / Pale Moon and looks like this could be fixed quite nicely by moving the anchor tag just a little bit ahead, into or after the next div, or maybe into the post div itself. At least based on how it changes the behavior of the Scroll into View command in the Inspector.
