Hide Favorites option in Settings not functioning?

Is the hide favorites option in the settings not working for anyone else? I turn it to "yes" and hit save but when I go into my favorites while logged out I can still see them. Not really ashamed of my tastes (especially w/ them being relatively vanilla) but I prefer to keep that stuff hidden, even on sites like youtube. Thanks.
