Hi guys, longtime lurker/reader here. Made a new account because I forgot my username on the past one.
Okay so I have no problem buying content. My iTunes account history makes my friends cringe for my wallet's sake, my BluRay collection is unnecessary, and I've even bought porn in the past from various services.
So with that in mind, please believe me when I say that I was a potential customer- WAS. I was a potential customer until a few weeks back when I went to an old bookmarked hentai manga and was greeted with the "You must purchase this book in order to read it: You Mad?" page.

Yes, I am mad. I'm mad. I'll be the first to admit it. My dick was ready for a specific entry, but then your error message page is infuriating. Now I get that the Fakku staff thought that this was a good idea, that that little "You Mad?" image was maybe a little cheeky, a little funny, obviously current, and mostly harmless. But nope, it wasn't harmless. It was harmful to your bottom line. It was pointless, annoying, and alienating. It's like you're taunting me.
Now I get that I'm overreacting, that I'm being uptight blowhard. I get that it's ridiculous that I'm writing this post right now. but I'm okay with being "salty". I'm okay that I'm incensed over this. That's my prerogative. I'm not in the retail business but isn't it one of the charter rules of business to not antagonize your potential customers? That's your prerogative. Once again, I have no problem that you guys are selling content. Copyright stuff is serious business, I understand that.
but the message that greets us should be one of sympathy, not of flippancy. You're already delivering bad news, so why would you chose to be irritating about it?
I haven't been missing Fakku that much, the alternatives I've found have been more than sufficient. but I thought you should know that I will never buy anything from Fakku. Explicitly because of that message. And I can't be the only one.

As already pointed out, that's a generic image that pops up whenever you encounter an error. There's a long do-do list for the site (I think one new feature is close to being finished), and greeting you with a more useful error message when you click on a book you don't own is on that list.
I'm sorry you were offended, and I hope you'll reconsider and set aside some of that iTunes money for hentai in the future.

You need a random Internet minimum tolerance. Frankly I would prefer to see the "You mad?" picture each time you get the awful maintenance page rather than random big images, but it doesn't matter that much, lol.
