I've been toying around with an idea

For a while, I've been entertaining the idea of a character section in the forum. Since people seem to take some threads in different directions by starting conversations about specific characters, maybe there should be a place where they can start a thread about them or post in pre-existing threads.

The only problem is the insane number of anime characters. It would be a difficult thing to pull off, creating a forum like that. I know like a master list of threads, like with the specific anime & manga forums, could help a great deal. I don't know whether you'd be willing to take the idea and run with it, but I figured I'd throw the idea out there. Since its still a concept, feedback and suggestions could help in figuring out a way to help it work smoothly.

If more people are interested we could do it. :D

I'm not too keen on the idea; it could turn into a digital mess. But after Motemote is over, we could use the Character section from there as a starting point, I suppose. The big problem arises from duplicate threads. I don't expect everyone to use the search function.

yep. people like me. but then again, i browse the forums one topic after topic. so io guess i never use the search function unless tho the site has increased its number of topics and is almost impossible to find then yes i shall utilize the power of the search button.

I think the new OP image function might solve some of the issues that would arise from that. People might not like reading through all the threads that have already been posted, but if there are pretty pictures to help them, it could serve to decrease the chances of duplicates.

While I think it's a good idea i think there should be a section rule where if one wants to START a thread about a certain character, one must use the SEARCH function on the section. Violation of the rule shall result on the later duplicate being deleted.

This idea is assuming that thesection is not a big problem for whoever is managing it.
