Logout Glitch

Is the logout glitch ever going to be fixed?

Just recently, I was writing a multi-paragraph forum response, and when I clicked to post it, I was redirected to the login page as I had been logged out while writing, losing everything I had typed. This happened a few months ago as well when creating a forum topic.

The glitch has been around for a LOOOOONG time, so I'm seriously wondering if there's like a coding problem that can't be circumvented and the issue is permanent, or it just hasn't be prioritized or whatever.

I just wanna know what's up is all.

I hate retyping my authorization code every 6 hours or so.

This has been around forever and I believe they've attempted to fix it more than once (obviously without success). As for the technical details, who knows. And for your problem maybe Lazarus Form Recovery would help.

If i get redirected i just press back. what you have written is still there and copy the text and log back in

That's usually the case with whatever I've written. I just go back and copy it, then paste it again when logged in.

Although, I usually log in when I enter the site, so it's not as much of an issue for me

As a rule I like typing long responses in notepad or something, or even just copying it all to clipboard before clicking post. It just seems to be a common occurrence on forums in general, and it's always a pain.

Logout bug finally fixed?!

It's not just me?! I haven't been logged out at all recently! HOLY SHIT.

I'm totally taking credit for this, btw. I made them fix it. Reminded them of the problem.

I'd not get your hopes up just yet. Last time it lasted a few days then decided it hated everyone and went from every few days of logging you out to every 24 hours~
It's a spiteful code apparently
