Main page is no longer operating chronologically

The main Fakku.net page is now focusing on Popular Right Now - while that's not horrible, it's basically showing me content I've mostly already read, rather than the newest content on the site, which it was doing before. Is there a way to fix this, or can you revert your change? Discoverability is much worse this way.

This isn't the first time the list view has randomly disappeared, replaced by the tile view.

That's the first time I see a site using a beta version to show the old, more functional, UI.
Will that be moved to a real configuration? Because I assume the beta version of the site won't always stay like this.

Old front page view is preferred. I like to see the tags visible without having to select/open new window for each listing.
