Red circle of confusion

Hi, I'm a new sub and I just have a question about the red circle in the middle of the page when I'm reading something and it obstructs the page. I'm reading on mobile so I'm not sure if this is a bug or a setting that I need to change.

If it never goes away it means the page isn't loading properly, what browser and device are you using?

I'm using a 4th gen apple iPod touch and the browser is safari. I can navigate the pages of the comic so I can tap through all the pages in the comic. But the pages are slightly whited out so the pages look faded and the red segmented circle is still there. I just tried to view the same comic on another device which is my android cell phone using google chrome and I never saw that red circle after the loading prompt at the top of screen. So I'm wondering if I can't view comics on my iPod touch because its a few years old.

Given the age of the ipod touch and the lack of support for its age I can't install chrome because of incompatibility issues. I guess ill just have to use my phone or another device. Anyways, thanks for the fast and helpful response.
