Renaming "Anime General"

I just reported a topic in Manga, Doujinshi, and Video Discussion because it was about a normal manga rather than an adult one. This hasn't been the first time, and I can see why.

At first glance, there is no place for general manga discussion. Yeah, there is the sub-text that it belongs in Anime General, but that is misleading. Shouldn't it be Anime/Manga General or just Anime and Manga?

You see the word "Manga" in Manga, Doujinshi, and Video Discussion and your first instinct is to put anything manga related into that forum, without thinking that it implies adult material.

Yeah, I know, that is quite the nitpick on my part, but this is also a five-second solution. Not asking for some complicated coding change that would take time and effort. Just sayin'.

Just change it to Ero-manga.

There are "specific" aninme and manga, but only a "general" anime. adding a general amnga section sounds reasonable.

Underneath "General Anime" : Anything anime or manga related.

Yeah, that's why I said it is a nitpick. It's easy to say "Well, that's not our problem if they don't read." But therein lies the problem, people don't read. It is misleading to say Anime General even if it does mention manga in subtext. It would take all of five seconds to clarify it, and the issue would come up a lot less.

Don't know why Jacob changed it, it was originally Anime and Manga General

It makes sense but I would prefer we spend our creators time on more important issues; people placing threads in the wrong section doesnt happen often enough for it to be a problem and the staff can move it just as easily when reported.

I'm not an web designer, but how hard could it be to change the displayed text of a hyperlink?

You of all people know its not that simple, it being easy wont be enough to make it happen.

Edit: Re-read your post. Now I'm just fucking confused. What's not so simple about it? It seems like a very small and minor change that has absolutely no drawbacks to it.

I know what I said red, I'm saying because Jacob takes as long as he does to fix anything(even the minor stuff) that it's not as simple as it should be. For someone who complains about stuff like this as much as you do you really should have understood my meaning, you've been here long enough.

I just don't understand this. This harkens back to what I said months ago when I left for a week. There is a serious lack of communication. If Jacob is seriously so damn busy that he can't do something that would literally, no joke, take five seconds to fix, then I feel like we all should know that.

Because at this point it looks more like he is either disinclined or incompetent. Such a serious lack of communication. This is seriously not a process that requires complex coding changes or anything of the sort.

What ever happen to unpantsu.. I though he was the coding guy.. or the guy who fixes the jacob's oops.

Excusing the man? Who am I to hold him accountable? I don't pay for the service Fakku offers. I am thankful when things are done but I don't complain when they take time, I don't complain when he doesn't communicate. He runs the site which he offers for free, I simply don't believe I am entitled to more than I already receive from the man, I wish others would share that belief. Jake got a full time job recently and still managed to pop out a few updates and a major fix to the search function, I would say a bravo is in order rather than calling the man incompetent.



Upantsu is a professional coder who manages many other websites where he is paid a full time salary. He works on Fakku when he has free time, or when he wants to test new ideas. Needless to say he does not have much time to help.



There is nothing cryptic about what I said, the explanation as to why it's not as simple as "1 2 3 poof" is that Jacob takes a lot of time to fix things. Others have been able to understand my point so either they were able to piece together my puzzle like statement or you have reading comprehension problems, I suspect the latter. You have been here long enough to know how long Jacob takes to do things, it would only take a month of reading Fakku to figure that out.

"It's not as simple as it should be" makes no fucking sense at all.
"It's not going to happen any time soon/It's going to take longer than it should" does.

You're essentially saying that Jacob is lazy in a really weird and convoluted way.

Edit: Also, is English your primary language? Because every time I read your posts it's the same issue. You just don't know how to write simply and concisely. I don't know if it's an attempt at trying to buffer what you're saying (Jacob is lazy) or if you're trying to sound intelligent, but you should stop. Stick with simple fucking sentences.

The way I wrote; my structure and form were exactly as intended; I don't need English lessons from you Red, in fact you are probably one of the last people who should be giving me advice considering some of the posts you've made in the past.

I imagine he's left it because most alternatives sound awkward in conjunction with the section headings.

I'd say just take the 'manga' out of 'Manga, Doujinshi and Video Discussion'. You could keep manga in the description, but there's not much to distinguish between the two anyway, and plain 'Doujinshi' makes it more recognisable as hentai.

Use fucking periods instead of semi-colons, and stop using the passive voice. Please, I'm begging you. I'm not the best writer and I have shit grammar, but that's why I try to stick to simple structures.
