Slight Forum Appearance Changes

Trying some new things as usual. Changed the way sub-forums look inside categories.

I'v also cleaned up a lot of the useless sticky topics that have been up for months without reason.

Topics with new posts are now bold, instead of all topics being bold.

Let me know what you think, I want feedback. Good? Not good?

I like the new look for sub-categories, but the Bolded for new posts thing just doesn't click with me.

Oh, well. Maybe it will later.

You're right, I don't like it either. I'm changing it back.

is it possible for you to delte old threads that have'nt been used in ages i mean summin like 1/2 months before it was used last

I was thinking about limiting each forum to 5 pages or so, and anything that falls off gets deleted. That way reposts will be new topics, instead of reposts.

But it'll be a while before I really sit down and think about this.

Hmm... I have never liked the idea of deleting old threads. I believe the OP has put in some effort into creating them; instead of encouraging members to come up with new, original and creative topics, it has the opposite effect.

In addition, it could result in plenty of reposts.

Just my two cents worth of opinion. :)

How about an Archive section where you throw old threads? The whole section will be locked so nobody can post in it, but all of the old stuff is still there. I've seen that done on a few site before.

How about a spotlight on old topics that were cool but were overlooked.

same here, there were a lot of epic arguments in the past, lots had expressed their ideal and personal opinions on things, and i don't think we should overlook the fact that many of the fakku users had put so much efforts in posting.

How about an option where someone can hide old threads instead of deleting them? Something where a user can input an cut-off date and all threat before that time will not be shown.
