Spoil problems

I just tried to use the spoil function in a comment in the News forum, but it didn't work at all. The code couldn't be completed (the closing code didn't appear when I posted) so I had to delete my post. :( What's happening?

If you type text like this, highlight it, then click the spoiler tag button, it will automatically wrap it in the starting and closing tags. Try that.
