Suggestion: Allow PMs To Be Editable

Self explanatory. I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I make a typos, or forget to outline an important step in a guide I'm giving someone, or think of something funnier to say in a conversation - wishing I could edit the PM I just sent.
I'm tired of all my PM conversations looking like this, and most of my conversations DO look like this - from both parties!

I heard somewhere that they were editable at one time, but it could have been misinformation. I also question if people might use it to hide things: sending a harassing PM or something and edit it so mods or what-have-you couldn't prove it. But I'm sure there are safe-guards for that like there are for normal post.
