UI Control Direction saved setting
0
Hey, this is a minor thing but the cause of constant annoyance. At the start of every manga I set the UI Control Direction in User Settings to my preferred direction, only to later find it has gone back to the default "use content direction" again on a new manga.
Is there any way to have this setting saved permanently as an account wide preference? If not, it would really be a nice QoL feature.

The settings are normally saved by your browser. However, they will not persist if you use private mode - your saved settings are lost when you close the window. Additionally, if you are using Safari, your settings will reset whenever you open a new chapter, since Safari does not support local storage in private mode (which is what the reader uses for storing the settings).
Something to note however is that the reader supports changing the reading direction on the fly by navigating either left or right on the first page. Both ways will go to the second page and set the reading direction accordingly.

I actually prefer to keep it browser-based because you may prefer different settings depending on the device you're using. I for example use the reader both on my desktop and my tablet, and I have slightly different settings on both. I guess it could be possible to allow users to save multiple configurations on their profile and then save what configuration to use per browser, but making all that intuitive and easy to use would take time, so it's not something that could be immediately added to the system.
