Users Should Be Able to Friend Each Other On The Site

Ever looked at a comment on a new chapter, laughed your ass off, and thought you'd like to be friends with that commenter? Well why can't we?

Hey, I've actually thought of this. I'd like this feature!

What does "friending" a user entail? Just have them on a list?

Maybe also seeing personal information we could fill, like age, gender, country...

Having them in a list, seeing more information about them, and also sharing activity on the site with people on your friend list, like posts, comments, what they've read on the site, just little things like that to make Fakku into a more social place.

You can see all that already if you click on a person's profile. Not to mention, if someone randomly said "hey let's be friends because I liked your comments" and they're some rando with no forum activity, am I really going to get invested in them? If you want social interaction, go to CTFG and if you want to make a friend based on comments, reach out with a PM.

By going to your profile I can't see any of that information, and yes, that is exactly the kind of people I want to add, those I talk to on CTFG. Of course I wouldn't be adding everyone that sent me a petition. Also, I think it would be good to have a list of the users you interact with more frequently, so you can search them more easily.

It might be because you're not a subscriber, which implies that viewing user profile info is a subscription perk. If adding friends eliminated that perk, a friends list would need to be subscriber only.

Why? Befriending people on the forums and chating should have nothing to do with subscription. Right now I don't have economic independence as to become a subscriber. But I do buy Fakku books and am active on the forums, thus, I think I should be able to do that.

But, if one of the benefits of being a subscriber is you get to see other users' info, you're eliminating that benefit and making the subscription that much less exclusive.

I don't think subscriptions have anything to do with it 623, I'm a subscriber as well and I don't see any of that information on your profile. All it tells me is when you joined and various information about your forum activity.

Okay so you guys aren't really seeing what I'm talking about I don't think. Either way, it doesn't matter since you don't have to be a subscriber to see each others' info like favorites or collections or read history. For example, here's POCKETKING's read history. I just clicked on his profile and then clicked on read history.

I also did this while logged out. Point is, you have access to it (except non-subscribers' read history since they don't have one).

You do have access to some information about the user, but not this personal information that could be basic for a person. Is there any page where you can see a user's age, gender or country?

No but I think that's par for the course for a lot of forums, let alone a porn forum.

You're doing something wrong if you're reading the comments for the doujins.
