Honey Select Unlimited: Crash when trying to shoot photo?

Everything works fine until the moment in character creation where I have to take a picture of to save the character. As soon as I click on the option to shoot and save, the game crashes. The music continues to play, but I can no longer click on anything and have to force close the app.

I have installed a few mods (VR mod, UI Translation, IPA) could it be the reason? I also changed my resolution manually in the config file since the launcher crashes. Any help would be welcome.

If you played the JP of the game the registry is known to cause the FAKKU launcher to crash. You can fix it by deleting the registry key below and let the FAKKU launcher recreate it.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\illusion\HoneySelect

I would try an unmodded copy of the game in the first instance and see if that cures the other crash as it could well be mods. IPA has been reported to work but given what it does there could be some issues with the FAKKU build of the executables as they aren't quite the same.
