A question about hentai production

There's been alot of hentai based on non-hentai series like Gundam and Code Geass. Im curious to know what happens before a hentai is created. I figure they have to contact the owners of the series or whatever to get permission and stuff like that.
Does anyone have anymore information to share on this subject?

What I basically know (forgive me if I'm wrong) is:
Doujinshi/s are fan-made. The authors/artist that make them do not get permission whatsoever to the makers of the anime they made their doujin at. They (the artist) are usually found at anime convention throughout Japan. This is where the uploaders most of the time get the 'raws' for new doujins.And of course there are also bookstores and anime stores.
And oh, before I forgot. It seems that some mangakas/authors do make h-mangas from their own series.

I understood you quite well. Interesting. I though they had to get permission for the original authors since they're making money off someone else's concepts.

I understood you quite well. Interesting. I though they had to get permission for the original authors since they're making money off someone else's concepts.
I would occasionally wonder the same. Hmm... I think Hentai images, manga, and videos made by the original artist(s) of a series would be pretty cool.
