I'm following the manga but the updates take forever...

I just plum forgot about it.

Dropped the anime after ep 3. Didn't like it at all.

If the manga is anything like the anime, it doesn't get better.

Though, oddly enough, the protagonist becomes a decent human being in the very last 3 or 4 minutes of the season finale.

It's pretty typical battle royale scenario. There is also some light censoring which I find annoying when someone dies. I haven't come across any mindfuck yet though and I'm about to watch episode nine.
