bump?

Relatively new to forums and stuff.
What does it mean when people say things like "bump"?

Specifics depend on the type of place you're in but basically it means that you're posting in a thread to bring it to the front/first page, usually to get people's attention and spark/reignite discussion.

Thank you :) is there by chance anything else i should know? Things Like this I am slow to catch up on. I swear half the acronyms and sayings my little siblings say I don't have a clue as to their meaning.

If you don't know an acronym, urbandictionary or just google can usually help. There are so many these days that I have to look up some sometimes.
