Can Hentai Evolve Like Mainstream Non-H Media?

We all know that hentai and other forms of porn have been consistent since its earliest years: all about sex. But hentai is probably the closest thing that has porn with a story, though it doesn't last too long. The longest a story can last for from what I've seen is one book or two, or around 20 chapters or less.
However, I have seen Korean manhwas recently start to make stories with a few sex scenes in a couple of chapters. They tend to last much longer. I don't know if an artist did something similar. I think the closest is with the ecchi genre, but there is very little to no sex, nudity, just suggestive scenes.
If there is nothing like what I mentioned above, would someone in Japan start something like this? A much longer story-line where sex scenes can be seen with genitals in full and are common, but they don't have to be in every chapter. If it can happen, can it work out while make it both interesting for story and stimulating for the sex without anybody feel like dropping it. The sex doesn't have to be crucial to the story. Can it last for a long time, like 200 chapters or more, just like your typical shonen manga. Can it work?
If it isn't possible, can hentai or porn make such changes that nobody has seen before?

Hentai already evolved long time ago with rise of PCs, we now have multitude of hentai media coming out daily from small crappy rpg maker games to grand novels like Monster Girl Quest or straight up feels fests like Teaching Feeling 〜 dorei to no seikatsu 〜, there's multitude of interactive games from simple point and click to virtual reality, these are pure proofs of evolution.
Paper is extremely limited medium and is bound to certain rules - mainly someone has to release these chapters, currently magazines are shuffling artist left and right to get as much different content as possible so reserving 20 pages every issue for one artist seems off of current plan and self releasing is risky and won't happen per chapter but as books.
Secondly the longer the story draws the worse it's quality gets, we had that proven over and over again that mangas above 100 chapters have hard time staying good, even masters like Araki basically resolve to restarting story with new set of characters before it gets stale, with hentai especially vanilla it would be even harder because what interesting you can write about couple for hundred chapters? Shit like Golden Time where bitch is forcefully creating problems with her cringe worthy personality? That wouldn't catch.
No genitals, graphic-shy seinens with sex is the best we can get on paper. More meaningful hentai are reserved for gaming media nowdays where publisher isn't an issue.

It seems that the more I think about it, you are right. Hentai is probably one of the few places where the artist can unleash his/her art. It would be pretty hard maintaining a story for so long, especially if you have to release it every week.

I have a couple of examples of good stories with good sex scenes in it, though they have no genitals and are both pretty old, I think. But hey, they were really good imo.
I'm talking about Love Junkies and Nozoki Ana, have any of you read them?

Nozoki AnaTbh, not seeing genitals makes it more of a turn on. You know the sex is happening but the absence of genitals means you're left to imagine the details.
I don't think I ever finished it fully, almost did but forgot most of what happens so I may give it another read. Don't remember why I stopped reading it, but I think it was still being released at the time.

Yeah, I guess. It makes you think about the whole thing as a story and imagining whatever's left, rather than just going for the sex scene.
In these cases sex is more of a means than the end of the whole thing.
It was good, Cat, I liked it.
