-Long ago, Acrobats and jugglers were painted in the face and were to entertain the masses under the name of 'Pagliaccios', since their antics were funny and everyone likes to laugh, they became popular soon enough.
Yet as time went by...
And the people grew jaded and dull...
the ancient race of pagliacci lost their place in the hearts of the crowds...
so they had to try their hardest to bring back the joy of the pure-hearted laughters but since human hearts are frail, many an amateur clown did the opposite to little children than what they had wanted to do...
and the children would weep
and the children would become afraid
and others...
"I HATE CLOWNS!!!"
and this hate spread like wildfire and others would feast on this hatred, turn it into inspiration and create works of art displaying the jesters in their worst, most frightening light...

and so, we get artwork showing scary clowns
