Does it seem odd to anyone else?

Hey dudes, I've ben a fan of doujin for some time. However I find it hard to find anime based ones that I can enjoy. Mainly cause most of them are about the main cahracter(s) and one of the girls doing the dirty deed. Frankly I prefer the stories where a complete stranger we've never seen before gets ahold of them. Otherwise it feels like I'm watching one of my best friends doing it or something. Anyone else share this feeling?

Then you must like what Hellabuna has done with Kimikiss and Dead or alive.
I honestly don't feel the same way you do though. In fact I prefer it when the doujin makes sense with the anime/video game it's based on and the characters have consentual sex.

True, I can see where that makes sense. Though its not often that sex is consentual in manga/hentai or at least not in some of the ones I've read.

Well if you want examples, take a look at my favorites in my profile. The majority of the doujins I like are based off animes/video games because said animes and games give a background story to the character(s), so you like them even more then random characters in "original" doujins. that's what I think.
Other examples: the majority of the Clannad doujins involve consentual sex. Melon melon, which is a tales of the abyss doujin, is another good example. Oh, and you have to read the Kanon doujins, especially if your into MILFs.

I'd still prefer to see (just throwing out examples here) Orihime, Rangiku, Horo, Lala, etc, etc get seperated from their friends and then captured/tricked/blackmailed into sex. Kinda like what the artist "Black Dog" has done for Sailor Moon ya know?

there are two things that make doujins feel awkward for me.
1) when girls get massive boob implants
2) when the doujin artist completely fails to recreate the characters and they look like poor cosplay couples doin it

Not really. I don't care either way.
But from what you said, I could relate in that it takes away value from a character.

I like to see series characters in the series doujins, but I have nothing against separating them... As example I can point at Bleach doujin Ninjas, Ninjas, Ninjas..

You don't see too much of it anymore these days, but back in the late 90s there were a lot of books like that. The only series that still has doujin coming out on a regular basis with just faceless/unknown men is evangelion, which I think mainly just has to do with a poor choice of male characters to use for pairs.

Agree with you, madam.
